Also, Sheep2 's usual Duo comrade is rarely able to go longer than about 30 seconds without using language unsuitable for anyone under the age of 40. “Blimey?” “Loafers?” “New Frank Black Album?” It's quite possible Tuffers doesn't want his children to end up with an unnatural love for Echo and the Bunnymen and Geoff Horsfield. I expect he does, who wouldn't? But you never know.

This is a rather early XKCD, when the style was still developing:

I'm entitled as it's my Birthday today! I had a Star Wars weekend this weekend and blitzed my way through all of the films. I decided as it was May the 4th yesterday I'd subject myself to more Star Wars, I didn't want it to be just a quick perusal so YT'd it and landed on a nice 3 hour documentary about the making of Rise of Skywalker, (Nick) which included some back story from the beginning back in 1980. Although long winded in places it gives a pretty good run on the way tech in movies has changed our perception as far as believable imagery. I thoroughly enjoyed over all 4* OTTM: Yes I am wearing my Kilt, it's obligatory on this prestigious day! All hail Ozymandias Kane etc etc...

Does anyone watch the daily question dodging behind podiums? Will spoons still re-open in June? Is a single glove sufficient ppe or are untaken/processed tests counted as completed? Would help if the questions weren't there to generate headlines. For once there is a genuine reason for giving a 'wait and see' type reply but the press keep asking very specific questions. It's them wanting set a new narrative angle to sensationalise. There are good questions to ask, but often these aren't in a paper's interest. I can't agree more; the meejah are asking unanswerable; and in many respects (not much of that) questions to which the answers in some cases should be "We have no fucking way of knowing, you parasitic worm." Any experience in other parts of the world won't be, and might never be, open to investigation and proper analysis. We are operating on best guess, given the limited information. I'd add to Scam's comments that the BBC are falling into the clutches of this syndrome. As for the vox pops, why are there so very fucking many? A lot of these arseholes are the same ignorant bastards who voted BoJo into office. The delegation of thinking to politicians and pundits has atrophied both the capacity for reasoned judgment AND fostered a deep unwillingness to take responsibility for their own actions. This latter is rampant in the upper reaches of the NHS. "...my capacity for reasoned judgment..." 5/10 "...my capacity for screaming rants..." 9/10

I have just watched the first hour or so of The Empire Strikes Back. Solo's behaviour around Leia whilst they are hidden on the asteroid is troublesome.
On a completely related note what happened to TimtheMonkey?

Whatever happened to Leon Trotsky? He retired to relative obscurity lived out his days peacefully in the Northeast of England, before passing away in old age within two weeks of his wife of over 50 years, Baby Jane. They were survived by two sons, Terry and Bob.

Best storyline is the Imperial AgentThanks Chumbles, I hope all is well with you. Unfortunately I don't have a TV licence so I'm missing out on all of the Mandalorian and Clone Wars series. Thanks for the Imperial Agent, I see a walkthrough of the main Old Republic (I think it was Gamers little playground). I did watch a walkthrough of SW:Jedi - Fallen Order on YT, which was good (MK: Ice & Fire).
