I mean I guess in some ways the whole slave bikini thing is pretty bad too. the bit where they are hiding in the asteroid involves Han cornering Leia and noting how scared she was. Its awkward. The bit where Yoda promises Luke he'll be scared was also quite sinister. Say what you will about the Empire but they had a reporting structure for these sorts of instances. Acknowledgement of consent but genocide on the flip side. |

Morning all!
Having bleated about not getting time on the PS4 yesterday I had a full 2 hours of unexpurgated PS4 action last night. Snowrunner. It has all the signs of a blog pump candidate - shonky, big trucks, and incredibly rich. Got various trucks stuck in the mud/snow. TB.
Also had a brief go at the Europa Universalis IV, where I learnt how to declare war in the tutorial, and then unwisely immediately declared war on Albania playing as the Ottomans. Turns out Albania had many allies who immediately attacked me, while the Albanian army ran about my territory Bendy Hill style as I chased them.
Theres an article on Sally Rooneys Normal People on the guardian that pretty well sums up my feelings on it, having neither watched the tv show or read the books. Entitled rich millennials with no real problems to whine about. (I'm a millennial)

Morning! I have spent yesterday and today refreshing the order page for the Animal Crossing Special Edition Switch every five minutes. It was supposed to be dispatched yesterday and delivered to the grandchildren the next working day. I gather from the whiny nincompoops of the stockinformer forum that most people who like me were able to order this rare commodity within the 10 minute window the Nintendo UK store was accepting orders haven't had their order dispatched yet. Since the call centre is closed due to the pandemic they've been bombarding the poor customer support team with emails. Unsurprisingly the huge demand has put a lot of pressure on the system and the store is in the process of sorting things out. So some people are cancelling their order because they can't even wait a few days. There might be some Ebay scalpers in the mix who are encouraging this kind of behaviour in the hope that some desperate idiot will spend 800 quid on one of these. All this would be kryptonite to my Super Omi powers if they hadn't been restored to full strength by yesterday's unexpectedly early delivery of a trampoline to the grandkids' address. Their father put it up today and they've apparently been bouncing around happily this afternoon. Their mother then also found out that with the safety net around it it doubles as a toddler containment unit. All this has not left me much time for my own entertainment, but I have now completed Tom Nook's May Day challenge in AC:NH. On my first try. Sorry Crank, I'm sure I had an easier map.* TV: The new Van der Valk. Lunch: Tried a new kind of pot noodle. "Mild spice" it said on the label. Three spoonfuls later my eyes are streaming, my nose is running and steam is coming out of my ears. 4 stars. *I didn't. |

So I decided that rather than buying new games to half finish then move on, I would go through all the ps+ games I added to library but didn't ever download.
First was Dirt Rally 2. Deleted after two DNFs.
Next, earlier today, Mad Max was downloaded Only played an hour or so, but its pretty sweet. This could be a winner. Like reading the Bios. And there are collectibles, yeah. The fighting are driving are both good. It looks BIG though. Maybe HUGE.
OTTM, not drinking lasted until 8pm. Its a start I guess.
