Morning all.
My "liquid" photo shoot was relatively successful last night, though a seized tripod meant some ingenious solutions had to be thought up. I think I've got the basics of what I need, now to fine tune the composition.
Got a Big Boss meeting today. Big Fun.

I tinkered with PC gaming for a while, dropped around a grand on a PC and monitor to play Skyrim around 2013 (the glorious brief period when I was single), but that PC started to struggle with the high end games around 2016. I don't think that represents great value when the top end xbox or PS isn't too far off performance wise and costs half the price.

The 'budget' build likely won't last until this time next year. You need to drop big if you want to future proof. My current PC (getting replaced next year) is starting to creak now, after ~6 years. It cost me around £2k to build and has had a couple of replacements over the years, taking the total amount spent on it to around the £2.5k mark. Not cost effective at all vs a console. I say this as one of the few level headed PC gamers out there. Morning all! I've typed this once but it didn't post so trying a second time . . . Monster Hunter, fourth area now. Smashed a roly- poly hedgehog thing and a snake faced panther thing. As I've now got the hang of the long sword the latter of them two barely got a hit in, it spent most of its time on it's back. New favourite weapon. One gripe I have so far is that all Anjanaths seem to be toothless. In desperate need of some fangs but none are dropping. RNGesus screwing me over. Fuckers. TV wise, got caught up on Impractical Jokers, bit of a weak one but still funny, and McMafia, ramping up now but still a bit of a pain to watch. |

I bought one on the back of Limni's advice 5 years ago, it's been perfectly fine (apart from the motherboard which shorted after the flat was hit by lighting - means I have a USB modem).
I do worry that at some point it'll give up the ghost, no odd noises and it seems fine. I wonder to what extent there's a whiff of the oversell in some instances. You ditch a decent machine in lieu of a slightly better one, just in case.
That said I rarely game on it apart from low spec games (e.g. Civ V, FM12, X-COM and Divinity Original Sin) so perhaps I'll get a few more years out of it. The problem is I don't have £800 or thereabouts to spend on a new machine, hence why I generally game on my PS4.

It's not gone well Amazingly Capita had me managing a team of women for a year or so. It did not go well, had various staff taking time off for stress, storming off, crying in the toilets etc....it was a horrible place to work and it wasn't even all down to me. |

Get in there and break it's face or capture it with a trap (assuming it's capturable) |
