I've just been informed that I am going actual, physical shopping in Plymouth shortly. Balls.* *No banks will be hit involved. I await my present with great excitement. It has to be better than your murky past.

And now my hay fever has kicked in. *sigh* One good thing from all the inadvertent weight loss is that my moobs have disappeared and I no longer look like a stomach on stilts! Another thing I don't miss is having to trail around like a disconsolate porter whilst my ex-PM tried on a million and one clothes asking my advice before she spent my money on some second rate garbage which I have already told her makes her look like a low grade hooker propping up the wall at the back of King's Cross Station. When we meet up with her mother who says the same thing, I get a 'playful' slap in an unencumbered spot, delivered with "Why didn't you say something." and then you've got to trudge back to the shop so she can return it... eventually I am so physically, spirituality and morally beaten down that my consciousness shrinks to my aching feet; "we've" been shopping for 5 hrs by now and I am a broken man. And then the real pain starts when I get accused of "Not caring." She may as well carry a banner saying "Love me, love my shopping." The first yes; the latter I'd make a prenuptial clause that I would never have to shop with the other half under any circumstances. Ever. It's made worse in that when we get home I am required to admire her choices (Jesus, is she colour blind*), make her and her mother a drink, whilst prepping the meal and marvelling at how much money she's saved me by buying all the marked down stuff that is on sale because no-one else wants to dress themselves like the sugar plum fairy and ... bloody hell, she'll never fit into that... She had two double wardrobes and half a triple ... *I have a carpet in the second bedroom which is a genuinely horrible luminescent purple swirly polyester thing. Guests have to wear sunglasses just to enter it and are told to bring slippers so they won't get fried by the electrostatic charge. They are also advised to not fornicate on the carpet unless they have signed a quit-claim that I am not responsible for their permanent scarring by a lethal combination of carpet burns and static discharge....

You may recall that Bezzer's Buffoons managed to split today's delivery "Thank you for choosing Amazon Day delivery (Thursday) and deliver an item yesterday and Tuesday, thus I thought maximizing the inconvenience to me to the maximum. I underestimated them... today's "delivery" has been split and collected by 2 different drivers - one has just been; the other shows as "Now estimated 2:45 PM - 4:45 PM", it was 1.00 PM - 3 PM; Marvellous Morrisons are due 4-5... <update> Jeff's 2nd lad was a really nice guy; he'd been late because a previous recipient had forgotten to chain up his two attack dogs and he'd bashed his leg on the fence as he'd dived over it. I didn't know you lived near me scubar

I can't remember* the last time I did not have any booze in. Possibly at university? I left in 1996.
There has been the occasional beer emergency or wine emergency, but never both at the same time. Plus I always keep a good supply of spirits in case the 40+ bottles of wine turn out not to be enough.
*Because it is so long ago, not through blackout drinking.

Grocery delivery today, some items missing. Like another crate of beer and the main ingredient for a lamb curry, i.e. the lamb. Still grateful for getting fresh supplies in. BabyfarkmcGeezak : Completely out of booze in these trying times? Amateur. As my hair is now longer than it's ever been before I'm noticing that it's actually getting slightly curly. I had always thought that I had the straightest hair known to woman. Thanks, Covid-19, I'd never found this out without you. I miss having a decent haircut. After no post at all last week the Pref. Mam.'s copy of the New Statesman from two weeks ago arrived yesterday and last week's today. Theoretically there should be another one tomorrow. Turns out they have a lot in common with buses. Anyway, the title of the current one is "Land of Confusion". So I guessed that I had to explain this to the Pref. Mam. who worked in Saudi Arabia in 1986 where in pre-internet days all popular culture passed him by (and of course he had no idea of Disturbed's cover of the song 30 years later). So here for him and our younger viewers: And apologies about the nightmares.

I am not a goddamn millennial.
I am not allowed to visit shops to get booze by order of Mrs Babyfark so as to protect the wee baby Babyfark.

Emergency- anyone with a good turnip price? I had a bad stalk market week myself and this afternoon it's only 72. I was lucky enough to make a small profit by selling at 127 on Tuesday after nooknet.net/turnips gave me an early warning. Highly recommend their Turnip Calculator.

Plymouth Newswire. Dak-a-dak-dak..
'Old Boy' has been receiving unsolicited calls recently on his mobile phone. Every time he answers, he gets two clicks and the call ends. Mrs Tids volunteered my services. Forensic analysis revealed that he had been receiving these calls from France and Tunisia. Anyway, I blocked them. I then asked him why his phone thought it was 2017. "I've tried to change the date and time using the calendar, it doesn't work..". Tids sorted this out for him.
I don't know why, but in the last week I seem to be helping elderly neighbours with low-level technical stuff. Must be something in the wind.
And yes, I am listening to Autobahn (again).

You're a good egg Mr Tiddles.
Hi!
Today my work system went for a Burton at about 2pm. Initial flapping and annoyance turned to joy as I was told to take the rest of the day off. I made full use of my time by having a nap.
OTTM, last night I watched the international space station, not once, but TWICE, fly past overhead. First at about 10pm, then 11.45pm. It was a surprise how fast it could shift, like really fast, millennium falcon eat dust fast. The sky was so clear, it was fascinating. To me, it had an x-wing outline to its shape.
Games, no.
Happy birthday Scubar.
Edit - I now have the ISS live app, pretty sweet

According to my guy on the ISS, it should pass over about 10.50 ish tonight. Although it's clouded over a bit here now. Oh well, it an excuse to have a beer and stare at the sky.
