BOTW chat eh? Moar games I've started but not yet finished. Top 5 games you've started but not yet finished? I'm ignoring Civ IV/FfH1.0g, AoW3, SMAC/SMAX, because at a collective playing time of in excess of 12k hours and still playing all of them, I will probably be still trying to play them via wifi as the dirt hits the coffin ... Otherwise: Elite: Dangerous - the most regretted 😒 Battle Brothers Bastard SWTOR Tyranny (all physical keyboard / equipment needed, can't use)

Quarter pounder with cheese meal, regular, with Tropicana orange juice The salty goodness of the fries, which were freshly cooked and red hot, made me weep.

You know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese in Paris?

Lou: Yeah, I never heard of it either but they say they have over 2,000 locations in this state alone. Eddie: Hmm... Must've sprung up over night. Lou: But you know, it's the little differences. Chief Wiggum: Example. Lou: Well, at a McDonald's you can get a Krusty Burger with cheese. But they don't call it a Krusty Burger with cheese. Chief Wiggum: Get out. What do they call it? Lou: A "Quarter Pounder" with cheese. Chief Wiggum: "Quarter Pounder" with cheese? Well, I can see the cheese but? do they have Krusty's "Partially Gelatinated, Non-Dairy, Gum-Based Beverages"? Lou: Yeah, they call them "shakes." Eddie: Huh. "Shakes." You don't know what you're gettin'.

Chatterbox dogs? Boxers like these? Not a good start to the day for me. Got up, checked my mobile phone and saw that I had 5 missed calls from a long and weird looking number. Went to the bathroom and was in the middle of doing some business there when the doorbell rang. Thinking it might be a medicine delivery I'm waiting for I gathered my trousers from around my ankles and hurried downstairs to answer the door. It turned out to be the front man of the group of Irish Travellers who had done some gardening for us more than a year ago. He obviously wanted to check whether I had another job for his merry men. He wasn't wearing a face mask and was clearly unconcerned about social distancing. I tried to keep my distance as much as possible and explained to him that we are shielding. " Eh?" " Because of the virus..." " What?" " The virus, you know, the virus that's going around?" Clearly this was all news to him. In the end he walked away disappointed while I realised that the mystery calls had come from his Irish mobile phone. At least he had tried to give me a heads up. I think it was my argument that I wouldn't be able to pay him in cash that convinced him.

Top 5 games you've started but not yet finished? - Skyrim (sacked it off to play Octopath Traveller. Number 1 on my list of games I should be getting back to) - Bravely Default (can't remember why and I would like to get back into it before the sequel comes out, but see below) - Dragon Quest VII (through no fault of my own, the shoulder button of my 3DS broke while I was playing it and I didn't have a printer connected to my laptop to print out the paperwork for sending it in for repair. Now that I mention it, I really should be doing something about this.) - Xenoblade Chronicles, but I didn't get far anyway and I'm hoping to rectify this situation with the new remake - Pokemon Shield, gave it up to finish Dragon Quest Builders 2 in unison with amipal . Now the extension is going to come out and I was very close to completing the story anyway, so I hope I can find the time somewhere. Playing Animal Crossing atm isn't helpful in this respect. ... that's it, I think, although in my mind there are some games where I haven't done everything I meant to do and that I hope to pick up again at some point. I was very close to 100% of the map in BOTW and would love to be back; I would like to do more of the post-game of Super Mario Odyssey; and I'd love to do more in DQB2, which, as Tim Rogers put it, "wants to be your Forever game". But my absolute speciality is chickening out before the final boss in games, usually because I'm missing some completionist task. Because I've played a lot of Zelda games, this is usually where that particular curse strikes. It happened with Twilight Princess where I was missing a heart piece because I had a hard time snowboarding against the Yeti. And that was after I beat the Cave of Ordeals where most completionist dreams go to die. It happened with Skyward Sword where I had difficulties with the boss rush for the Hylian Shield. In hindsight I should have made sure to choose one of the damn Imprisoned fights as my first call. It happened with Link Between Worlds where I could never quite make it through the Treacherous Tower. These still bug me because all these tasks were entirely optional. For some reason I also gave up on the final boss in Oracle of Seasons, although I had completed the sister game Oracle of Ages. I think it might have been the prospect of then going back and playing Oracle of Ages once more with the codes from Seasons that was unappealing. I loved both games but I had given up on completion in Ages anyway because it involves the most bullshit of all mini games, the Goron Dance. I also never faced the secret boss in Octopath Traveller because I felt like playing something else at the time and Felice said it was bullshit as well. I will get back to it one day, I swear. And then there's Phantom Hourglass which I played for far too long just for its mini games because I simply couldn't get the last randomised golden ship part. After many weeks I finally got that missing part and I went on to the final boss battle. And then I couldn't beat that boss in his final phase because the stylus control scheme of that game hurt my hands so much that I couldn't physically do it. Let's say it's not my favourite Zelda game. For a similar reason I'm not particularly fond of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. I beat the original NES Legend of Zelda more than once (without internet help! I just burnt every bush and bombed every wall) and have also done the Second Quest, no problem. But I met my match in Zelda II because the enemies are so tough that trying to kill them hurts you more than them. What I mean is that my hands were hurting so much that I gave up. I didn't get far and I never want to come back. Oh! and I forgot: I didn't finish Luigi's Mansion 2 because of the location of the card slot on the "New" 3DS which resulted in me ejecting the cartridge three times during the same boss battle. And I put Luigi's Mansion 3 on pause to play Pokemon Shield, so there's another one I need to get back to. Edit: TL;DR: Being a completionist is really bad for your enjoyment of games.
