Morning all.
TVblog: the penultimate episode of Justified, series three. And a Community.
Gamesblog: got rid of the "enhanced console graphics" mod, as I wanted to be able to see inside dungeons - it has a propensity to really darken the shadows to true-black. I had a good explore and fight in the mines east of Riverwood. I then made my way to Whiterun to introduce myself to the Jarl and all. On exiting Whiterun, I had a brief explore around the landscape, where I was first murdered by a sabre-toothed cat. I reloaded, and was boomed to oblivion by a Mage. Hmm.

Please also see Mario Odyssey & Horizon Zero Dawn & God's of War.
Top 8 then. Remarkable.
Just had a zoom call introducing ourselves to a new librarian that's started.
My line manager wasn't on the call yet when I described what I did "as little as possible..."
I said it in a jokey manner. Best to manage expectations I believe.

I like to have an up close and personal option, and then a massive chopper for the crowds. Have you got the perk that lets you create fire arrows yet? That comes in handy too

Games - I actually played some RDR2 last night. Very enjoyable. Chased down a debt, brought a state marshal to a gunfight, chased a magical little person across the prairie.
Then Ass Creed Odd, went to the magic cave and stuck my spear in.

Then Ass Creed Odd, went to the magic cave and stuck my spear in. In my chasing down a debt, the guy came at me with a knife. I used the only thing I had to subdue him. A shotgun. Blew his head clean off. That’s a surprising thing the first time it happens to you. Rockstar went all out. Oh yeah, I also came across the first serial killer bit. Gonna have to hunt the rest of the clues down now.

That comes in handy too I've avoided the fire route as it seems way too uncontrollable and as everything is flammable I usually end up torching myself in the process. I've been investing in poison. I dont have fire arrows but if you go near a brazier or similar with an arrown drawn it'll light it. Likewise if an arrow goes past a brazier or fire on its way it'll light up. Not good news for those who hunker for cover behind a brazier. The perk which makes bodies disapowar after assassinations is surprisingly useful. Gives a much easier route when clearing forts as you just need a soldier standing on his own, not one near some cover.

I did try and take down a mercenary who was vulnerable to fire using just a torch, but it went out before I could get more than two shots in him. I’ll have to get the disappearing bodies one, although I usually get bored waiting around after I’ve taken a couple out and just go charging in. I’ve figured out dodging and parrying this time, so fights are going a bit easier.

Scubar,
The disappearing bodies perk makes fort clearouts and the like much quicker. If you combine with the passive sneak perk you can take out pretty much anyone at night. Add chain and you can clear 2/3 enemies in the open and not have to play the whistling game.
The mercenary weaknesses aren't worth much. I tend to sneak attack and just get to it. If you have your dodge game used right you can whityle them down in no time.
Only problems I have are the superquick dagger foes. When I had a dagger I could rarely get in close, but they seem to get on the inside more easily than I could.
