Spare a thought... That's why my choices are typically poorly thought out. My sis-in-law employs a green-fingered chap to help her from time to time in the garden. Recently he planted 100 tomato seeds. Unexpectedly all 100 of them sprouted and he doesn't like throwing away living things. So he asked her whether she would be willing to take some of them. She said she could probably take 10 or so but also take some for her son and daughter. He delivered 40 seedlings to her. Since she's still in lockdown she's looking after all 40 by taking them inside at night to shield them from the cold and putting them outside during the day. She's complaining about the current Scottish inclement weather as well as having to climb over 40 tomato plants in her hallway where the carpet has turned from cream into mud coloured. (I asked her why she hadn't put some old newspapers underneath and she said that she didn't think it through but she also hasn't bought a newspaper in several months). But what really worries her is that the cat is giving her funny looks that indicate that he thinks she's finally lost the plot. A sentiment that's hard to argue with, as she admits herself. Has she turned into a tomato slave? Tent Hen there, posting another long Animal Crossing agriculture and economics monologue.

Big pot of veg soup made for the freezer and takeaway pizza for dinner ordered.
A glass of beer with dinner in the sun you say? Perhaps, perhaps...

Gunners bollocks; if you can't make the effort just fuck off. A short, but heartfelt rant; perfect in its brevity. I'm listening to recorded cricket and playing Age of Wonders 3. Blender: Made some chocolate protein shake, ripe bananas and milk smoothies; huge amount of effort in the making and cleaning* afterwards. *Note to self - I must NOT ignore the max. line.

Poor Destry as well. Unlucky. Somehow I don't think a 3 - 0 thrashing at home (it could have been 4 or 5; they hit the post twice) can be described as 'unlucky'.

As a Blues fan you'll be well acquainted with the 'joy' of supporting a team that frequently flatters to deceive. Yet somehow the infrequent highs tend to compensate for the all too frequent lows. Ask Chumbles.

Recently I opened a carton of chocolate milk, then thought that I should maybe give it another shake, completely forgetting that I had unscrewed the top. That was a fun cleanup operation, too.

In other news I appear to have fixed the issue with my laptop screen by removing the bezel and screen and pushing down on the connector before reassembling.
It turned out to be a ten minute job but for some reason I'm proud of my leet skillz.

Dinner That looks more like what I would scoop onto a plate at a buffet in record time before they run out of the good stuff. Tasty though. I approve. For me dinner was a slightly mismatched affair of steak pie that I'd forgotten about and potato gratin that was meant for something else that's now in the freezer. Main problem was finding a vegetable element as I'm completely out of suitable fresh & frozen veg. Fortunately my archaeological expertise came in useful and I excavated some ancient broad beans from the freezer, probably from before the Roman invasion of Britain, though I can't be certain. 4 *s.

Your description of the process of assembling the dish is accurate, we just chucked everything together and it turned out well, I thought it was rather pretty.
