Happy ππ° Birthday, amipal!πΎπ₯ And you can look forward to a repeat of a year of being one year away from a significant birthday in ten years time. It's exactly like BabyF described it, just ten times worse. It's your brother's birthday, too? What a coincidence!

I've been playing Dark Souls 2. Live, die, die, die, die, die, die ,die ,die ,die, die, repeat. Amipal, that what being 40 feels like as well, so happy birthday and welcome to the slow crawl into decrepitude. Also I've been making some horror fantasy scenery.Β

Happy Birthday amipal . If your brother shares your birthday, do you think you might possibly be twins? My biggest worry is that in the dull/interesting fight maybe Amipal is the interesting twin?

Why on earth is that miserable, humourless, whining tit Simon Mann commentating and not the amusing, optimistic, funny Dan Norcross. At least we're not stuck with that wife-beating "stick of rhubarb, corridor of uncertainty" bastard Boycott...
And why is my heart's delight (mainly because of her infectious laugh) Ebony Rainford-Brent not there.

Afternoon chaps and chapess.
Been up at the PM's folks as MrsC's mum was making masks. Got a couple of different types to try.
Covid masks. We're not getting prepared early for DΓa de los Muertos. Hopefully not anyway.
Burgers and wedges for dinner.
Perhaps some fallout 76 this evening if I can get the fucker to play. If not then I might do another GTA story mission.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, all. Appreciate it!
Went to visit my brother, and it turns out that we are twins after all! 39 years, and never knew!
Anywho, him and his lot got me an Iron Maiden CD and the complete boxed-set of all the pre-reboot Star Trek films - from The Motion Picture, all the way through to Nemesis.

Oh, and he doesn't like the Atari ST (he'd slap that smile off your face for the mere suggestion), doesn't have a successful YouTube channel filled with sweet content, nor does he have an evil beard.
He knows significantly more about military matters than I, though.

Hello
Today Mrs D and I went out for a pub lunch.
No great changes; a one way system (keep left), more screens, strategically placed hand sanitizer stations, fewer tables, social distancing at the bar, contactless or app payment preferred (though cash payments taken.) The new normal I guess.
Still, it was good to get out again.
EDIT: Oh, my football team lost and Denley threw away his wicket. The old normal.

I have never even been to Norwich.
Barbeque smokers - anyone got one? Are they relatively idiot proof?

Just ordered a couple of cases of wine, curiously 1 is mixed Prosecco, only one* person in the house** drinks the stuff.
*not me. ** containing 2 people.

Many happy wiggles of the day Amipal!
Games - Deadly premonition 2. Easily the game of the year of all time. I rest my case. Switch lot - get on it.
TV - no

Today Mrs D and I went out for a pub lunch. Oh, and absolutely no contact details requested or taken. We just walked in off the street. So no possibility of contact tracing if a positive Cov-19 is reported at the pub in question. Hmmm. Not reassuring.

No time for posting, just busy with ... stuff. Chores just adding up, or maybe I'm getting dramatically slower doing things. New ice cream van going round the neighbourhood all day, playing the Chicken Dance song. This is different from and more annoying than the usual one with the Teddy Bear's Picnic tune. I know about the Glasgow Ice Cream Wars and the Serious Chimes Squad, but this is more serious, a criminal assault on my nerves. Grocery delivery in the afternoon, some beer missing. Supplies are a bit low as a result but I'm not worried (yet). Not enough time for the Fishing Tourney in ACNH today, so no trophy. Museum filling up nicely with critters, including the underwater ones. Love the return of diving without the stinging jellyfish and creatures constantly moving out of your reach. Many thanks to Pyjakson for the very scary painting - took some photos I will try to post later. But much more important than all that, after Ricky left my island and I didn't get round to actively looking for a new resident I noticed last night that the vacant plot had been sold. To whom? Why, just Mr Facebook himself: Zucker. Considering that he's currently number 4 of the highest tier on the Villager Popularity List as well as the most popular of the rarest species I guess I've hit the jackpot by not doing anything. 4 stars.

TV - no I still need to play the first one and I'm busy crossing animals all day. (Maybe I should take the advice of one of my uni lecturers: " If 24 hours isn't enough time one could always add the night.")
