I have never even been to Norwich. Barbeque smokers - anyone got one? Are they relatively idiot proof? How deep down the rabbit hole are you willing to go? A couple of smoked chickens take a day brining and 6 hours low and slow, you'll need the smoker, thermometer, chimney starter and a good wood supply. Lumpwood charcoal not this remade rubbish, considerate neighbours and an afternoon after smoking to clean it all off. And if you have close neighbours on an estate, you will find there's a covenant telling you to take your smelly climate change machine and stuff it up your arse. The BBQ 8' upwind from my fucking patio doors forces me to close all my windows on the hottest days of the year. And yes, they're the same NHS cunts blocking my drive and the visitors space for 4 weeks with parking available elsewhere, hugging their bastard grandchild with its used car salesman who already has been ... (rant continues Wednesday ...) |

Lunch: tom yum bamboo & mushroom ramen, goat cheese with Branston pickles & cold beer.
After lunch: remembered that there had been a Nintendo Treehouse live stream where they were demonstrating Paper Mario gameplay as well as unveiling a new game by developer WayForward and so found it in YouTube. Watched the Paper Mario bit. The lag between the participants was terrible, leading to loads of dead air. The game looks alright. It turned out that the mystery game was a new Bakugan game. I had no idea that there had been previous ones. I had to look up what it was and now that I know I still don't care any more about it. So I fell asleep on the sofa whilst listening to the presentation and woke up as it drew to a close.
Tonight's game for the Social Distancing live stream: Hollow Knight. Hopefully I won't be multitasking with Animal Crossing again.
P.S.: currently ACNH is mildly driving me round the bend because I CANNOT FIND ANY CICADA SHELLS. It's been 12 days, I have played regularly and been really looking for the blasted things and still nothing. Anyone else having this problem?

Gaming protip:never go from playing Breath of the Wild to a similar adventure game. Switched to playing Dinobots and, unlike Link, Aloy cannot gently float down after jumping off a cliff. Poor girl is a red smear in a deep canyon.

The trick with Skyrim mountains is to relentlessly mash the jump button til you're characters lands on a polygon that allows them to jump. |

tenthenemy I logged into my island for the first time in over a week. Isobel told me about the shells. If I manage to come across any I'll give you a shout. I've heavily invested in neeps today so I'll definitely be on this week. Just been to the shops in a mask. Some young women had hers round her wrist. Rather novel approach which wasn't questioned by the bloke behind the counter as she was very attractive. My converted t-shirt one was very warm. I'll keep those for the winter second wave.

Hello.
Today I did all the glass recycling from the lockdown. Basically a car full of empties which took about half an hour to put into the bins.
We had a bbq tonight, and ate in the garden. Why do people like eating outside? Insects everywhere and your food gets cold quicker. Not for me, Clive.

(rant continues Wednesday ...) Someone fucked up. Either can't light it properly or screwed the pooch for the smoking, there shouldn't be any smoke while cooking and only a brief burn in newspaper. This covid thing is a bugger, all hands on deck fixing it but it goes a bit awry at the edges. One funeral Tuesday and another relative with pneumonia who has not left the house while shielding. At least this time the care home hasn't broken limbs premortem needing this polis as well. |
