Hi.
Good game of Zombies last night. 4 players. Tids, 2x Swedes and a rather sweary Neil Oliver soundalike. It was quite amusing when he kept shouting at one of the Swedish players, 'Why the F**K did you do THAT?', 'Don't open that F**KING DOOR', etc..
It could have been Neil Oliver, maybe he's a bit of a potty mouth on-line.
Tried playing another game with some Canadians but they were a bunch of rude chaps (very disparaging with regards UK playaz) - so sacked it off.
OTTM: Waking up at 6am every morning is unsportsmanlike.

Morning all! MrTiddlesOne would expect better from Canadians. Was one of them our dear departed @toolio? Gamesblog: no TVblog: Adventure Time. Once Upon a Time in Iraq. Community. A serious-sandwich. Amigablog: I'm into the "C" directory! Currently looking at 28% non-working.

Hello. As everything is awful and I’m running out of trouser space I’ve been getting up an hour early and going for a run every morning for the past couple of weeks. It is the worst thing ever, and I include under-anaesthetised root canal fillings in that. Absolutely awful. I’m a husk of a shell of a wreck.
I’ve also started playing Elite again and have set a random course into the depths of the void. This is absolutely a cry for help. My PS4 is considering self-immolation.

Can't you just buy a couple of extra safety pins to enhance the waistband?

Morning all,
AC Odssey chat.
Tombs. Firstly you can light the little braziers using a torch, it's helpful to see and in the larger tombs gives a sign as to whether you have been.
There are two types of hidden entrances. The first is a low space you will automatically slide through. These are often hidden by large vases. If you see a few against a wall then snash em up.
The second is tougher to spot and are parts of a wall you can smash through. These all look the same in any tomb, the wall surface is cracked and crumbling. There are some wall surfaces with big holes and ivy etc, it's not them.
Stealth is well worth investing in. The Death Veil ability is thoroughly worth it. When you assassinate the bodies disappear meaning no more waiting or whistling. Get the rush assassination ability and you can take out pockets of enemies in one go.
The rush assassination can be very handy in the entire game. It means you can move across a large area of a fort or camp undetected. If there's someone in range of where you want to get to, voila. Kill them and you are at a spot which may not have been easy to get to.
When tou have it activated you'll see on the enemy how much damage it will do. Sometimes it won't kill them outright. However, this doesn't mean it's not useful. Say there's a captain or similar and an archer nearby. You have unlocked the ability to chain 3 times. Use first on the captain, then the archer (or average soldier) then chain back to the captain. He will either be dead or close to it.
Hero strike is also very strong and can be used in combat. It can make boss fights a lot easier.
As you can see I went in heavy on assassin and it becomes OP at points. Clearing camps and forts can still be a challenge but it's not reduced to whistling and hoping soneone won't see you. Take out the alarm fire and then hit the pockets of soldiers.
If it goes wrong climb up high and Spartan kick them off the side of wherever you are.

scamanderTop intel. Re: taking out the alarm fires - how do you do this? Can you just smash them before they've been lit? And what do they look like? So far with forts etc, I've managed to kill a few soldiers by creeping around, then someone sees me and sounds the alarm, and within seconds I am swarmed by dozens of angry Athenians.

Well it turns out this MTV in Lebanon reporting on the explosion is apparently not the MTV, but is a proper news channel. I am a bit disappointed* that they are not cutting between news reports and Billie Eilish** videos.
* very disappointed
** Yeah I am hip with the kids. Though maybe Billie Eilish is last year.

So far with forts etc, I've managed to kill a few soldiers by creeping around, then someone sees me and sounds the alarm, and within seconds I am swarmed by dozens of angry Athenians. Use your eagle to scout and tag eveything. It's worth spending time doing this. If there are cages see if you can see if it's an animal or captured soldier. Either can be very useful. The fire alarm thingy needs you to get to it and you then set a trap by holding down the relevant button. If anyone then tries to use it it'll explode and kill them. The alarm is then unusable. It's best, at least early on, to take the forts at night. There'll be a minimal guard and most soldiers sleeping. I'd leave off taking on the forts until you have some of those assassin skills I mentioned. It's a bit more fun. Leave the captains till last, what you want to do is prioritise taking out the archers and lower level enemies. At some point you are likely to be noticed or will need to take in a captain or similar. You don't want to get rushed by several soldiers when this happens. Animals can be released from cages by firing an arrow at the cage door. It's best to do this after culling a few soldiers so it can run amok. If you release them too early they'll be overwhelmed (though this isn't the case in smaller camps where you can do this earlier). The game has been rebalanced when it comes to forts. There's more thought as it used to be easy to snipe using predator shot from a distance undetected. If you are getting swamped it's because you are underskilled or have rushed it. The entire Assassin tree is honed for doing this so get the skills up and enjoy clearing the forts etc out. It's much more fun as well.

scamanderThanks for the excellent pointers. I will go back and check the tomb walls to smash through, I found the lower ones behind pots. I have had some epic one man army battles with one particular fort in Phokis, I forget its name. Basically attacking and retreating when I get overwhelmed and trying to burn one bit of leader treasure at a time. Last nights session was pretty productive. I have now done the oddysey missions in Phokis and visited the wee Island and had a flashback. Experimenting with the skills tree worked out well and I managed to kill that bastard pig for the hot Artemis woman. And I spent a night of passion with a greek pensioner lady whos husband was very accommodating and played some sweet lute mood music at the doorway. The Greeks were very open minded. POTENTIAL SPOILERS. . . . . . I worry that the loading/home screen contains huge spoilers, unless its misdirection.

The M in MTV is equivalent to the D in DPRK and has been since about 2002. Also in mind that LadBible have been asking questions at the Downing Street briefings this year, so there’s nothing to say it isn’t that MTV...

We bought our daughters Billie Eilish tickets for the Manchester gig as a Christmas present. It was supposed to be two weeks ago but was obviously postponed. So at least that's one good thing to come out of Piers' 5G Corona hoax.

POTENTIAL SPOILERS. . . . . . I worry that the loading/home screen contains huge spoilers, unless its misdirection. The Artemis hunting missions are quite good. It's much about choosing the right weapon. With some animals you can get in and keep wheeling round to get some nice licks in. Others need a bit more distance. Sounds like you are quite early in the game where pretty much anything can kill you. Stick with the tombs and easy missions to level up and get those sweet skills. Also don't bother too much about upgrading gear, you usually find better stuff as you go along and sets of unique armour (yellow) will level up to whichever level you are when you get the final piece of it. I don't remember the loading screens having spoilers though? As for the Greek way of life the Spartans had no laws on adultery. Spartan men were so largely hooking up with other Spartan men, or younger men. Always find this amusing when seeing Alpha males going on about how Sparta was so great.

Games you say? No.
Sorting out photos in Google photos of the child so MrsC has them. Got as far back as Feb 2017. Halcyon days. Do the rest tonight hopefully.
TV. Hamilton. Was good. Enjoyed it.
Mrs C's folks dropped off an IKEA kids desk for the child's room and assembled / attached to the wall. All ready for the second wave home schooling.

just to ruin everyone's day a little more:
Bows - the Hunter build was nerfed so avoid it. The best use for bows is to get some adrelanin refill. If you are in a scrap and have a few soldiers coming your way just loose a few arrows and you should get one bar filled .
Skills - you can reset these at any time on the skills screen. Doesn't cost anything to do so you can reskill for a build relevant to a specific mission or fight.
I'm spent.
