After a muggy weekend it is now raining, perfect for working in the office with Aircon. Games, greedfall. Must nearly have finished the shonky RPG but it's not been bad.

Morning all,
Spent the weekend on Fallout 4. Despite downloading all the DLC I am somewhat hesitant to start it...
In other news I went picking blackberries and now have blackberry gin and brandy set aside to stew (or whatever the term is). Will leave till December.

Fantastic start to the week, in the chaos of Friday afternoon I accepted an 8 a.m. Teleconference with a guy in France and a Work Council Rep, as well as my bosses' boss.
I completely forgot and it transpired only the French guy was on the call. Therefore a quick call was made to shore up French- Anglo relations and a humble apology sent to the big boss.

Morning,
It is very moist here. Almost too moist...
Quick question to the southern peeps on here. We're currently looking to move to Shoreham or Hove. Had a quick look over the weekend and thought it was ok but didn't manage to get to Portslade. Is this a deranged, repugnant, cesspit of backward Neanderthals or a thoroughly nice place to move a family to? Could be somewhere in between I suppose.
I think Amipal lives round there though?
In da games - I got the Control platinum! Woop! My first one too.

Monday again. Hello.
Games. A wee bit of GTA online last night. Just some Solomon missions with randoms. Good fun. Miss the chat. Nobody on PC seems to chat the way folk do on PS4. Mind you with the GTA playerbase that's perhaps a blessing in disguise.
So sick of the "leaks" to papers from DomCum to decide Govt policy. Like we're fucking stupid. Oh.

silcox Portslade is where people move to when they get too old for the Brighton life, and realise they can't afford to live in Hove. No one ever admits to living there though, it gets referred to as "West Hove". It's basically cheaper, quieter, and with fewer Brighton types and junkies.

And is an area on the up. Hove is very expensive if you are looking to buy, it also has elements to it so I'd certainly advise on Portslade.

Hi chat fans
Other than my further delving into the land of being the biggest miniature* youtuber, I've also been sucked into Norman's Pies again.
Not sure why, its still just one giant fetch quest, but it is almost totally mindless, so it suits me.
Back door leaked in all the rain. This is not a euphemism.
*I could not be happier with this part of the sentence.

Morning Shenguin Fans!
My back door also leaked a bit, but I think that was not the rain but the curry. Chili Paneer followed by Vegetable Madras.

Thanks for the feedback!
I'm not old enough to retire but I'm happy to move to the boring bits now. I've had my fun in London for the past 20 years or so.
The kids will hate me when they get to their teens but what's new? They can always make the move to the big smoke like their old man
Now I just need to check on the internet speeds for Emile

My first proper girlfriend lived very near to Portslade, so spent some time around there. It's alright, though haven't really been there for any length of time in seventeen-years. Good access to Brighton via buses and train, and cycling too. Just stay away from the pubs next to the railway station. But then that's sound advice anywhere I think.

The pub in Sheffield train station is arguably our best pub.

silcoxBrighton is pretty popular with the younger generations. I reckon they'll like it. If either are into fitness the Underground Gym is very good. Started as a lock up place, now it's MMA, Boxing and weights (particularly lifting). Good bunch. Eubank Jnr trained there. Moved to a closer gym but miss it a bit as there weren't teenagers in jeans just doing bicep curls. amipalThe pub to the south of the level crossing is ok, they even have a games night. Pub on the north side however... 'Er indoors is from Brighton. The other day we were driving along Portland Road and she was explaining how much it's changed. Used to be a dodgy area but now has posh cafes and the like.

I have been to Brighton. Unless you live in sarf London it takes an incredibly long time to get there and is not worth it when you arrive (I suspect this bit applies even if you live in Sarf London).
Crystal Palace (Thornton Heath) on Sea
Four stars. Recommended

It is better than Southend. But that is not a recommendation.

It was in sunny Southend where I heard one guy ask this of his partner, "remind me I have to buy chips for the baby"
