Riding on the back of a motorcycle was pretty sweet. You're Kelly McGillis? Dear lord...

I'm in the pub, drinking Jaipur and eating a ham and cheese panino. lazybones would enjoy this post. I had to override predictive text and autocorrect to spell panino.

I am re-reading Section 2 of FRS102 on recognition of assets, alongside re-reading Section 3 of the Charities SORP.

Good stuff. Have you got a problem with establishing the value to he recognised for donated assets?

Has anyone completed any furloughing calculations for September where the updated rules announced on Friday had an effect?

No, I don't currently have any problems with donated assets. I was checking the recognition of assets where we may not be the legal owners, but for all practical purposes they're ours and we have the control and future economic benefit. It's not what we've done before, but it makes it easier if we do it from now on.
This is a pretty hot show we're putting on for Peter Falk's birthday. Everyone will be pleased with us. So much better than blah blah blah games blah blah blah like it is normally on here.

My favourite bit with charity accounts is the SOFA. It always makes me want to take a little lie down.

I am now back in garden listening to the cricket and reading Guardian Weekly. Buzzing after 3 pints of Jaipur....

I like Jaipur but when ales get that strong and I have a few I tend to miss out on the lovely initial drunkenness and instead go straight to quite drunk with annoying headache.

Shenguin better be valuing those assets correctly in the annual accounts.

Shenguin is mostly thinking about how thirsty he is, and how much he likes strong pale ales.

Are you the people who have been defrauding the furlough scheme? Will they bring in drink out to help out or is it stay home, stay safe, stay sozzled?

Are you the people who have been defrauding the furlough scheme? Will they bring in drink out to help out or is it stay home, stay safe, stay sozzled? I had one furlough claim refused, yes. It was for one of our least well off clients and was worth only about £585. Apparently if someone was on maternity leave after June 10 they can only be furloughed if at least one other employee was furloughed for at least 3 weeks. Bit harsh, but there you go. I can also confirm 6+ pints of Jaipur makes for an excellent aperitif. I went out in Hammersith with the bullying clique a few years ago. The Swan sold Jaipur. My memories of the evening are sparse.

Can you offset the Jaipur against tax? If we spent part of the evening discussing professional matters then the incidental costs of the meeting could be allowable, under favourable circumstances. So basically yes, I am using your tax £* to subsidise my boozing**. *doesn't apply if you work in the public sector or are a pensioner. You are living off my tax 50p. ** I am not.

I'll be any age or profession you want as long as you weigh me in for 50% of the saving. We could be talking pounds here.

So BDT is a tax write off? Is BDW a tax write off as well? I reckon this going to the pub and talking about work is just a way to get around the rule of six. Boris looks t be floundering when being questioned.
