Morning.
The PS5 is around the level of a GTX 2080 GPU. Nvidia are shortly releasing the GTX 3080 which is 115% faster than the 2080. Therefore the technology seems to be moving swiftly on from what the new consoles can offer.
Hopefully I have ruined the building hype there.
Games: No
Telly: Cobra Kai
OTTM: Crisis mode at work as one of our companies did a bad thing.

I've only ever seen Excel in upscaled 4K (I displayed the laptop screen on the TV). Not the same experience at all.

Tell them you're a fast food company ready to do track and trace, they'll give you the 2 million back with interest.

I liked the Watchmen film, think it gets a bad rep. It’s basically just a panel-for-shot translation of the comic though. I thought the Watchmen film was very good too. And the fact that they used the graphic-novel-panels for the film worked very well too - not sure how good it would have been if they had not.

Wifichat.
I need to get a better wifi signal in the spare room which is currently my work office.
Would running an access point from the modem (nearish) via an ethernet keep the same signal as the one from the modem. Expect it would but just wanted to know.
Reason being is that using wifi extenders etc tend to have a separate signal. My work network doesn't like it much and needs to keep to the modem signal.
In short access point with ethernet from modem = better modem wifi signal?

The downside is that it won't interfere with emergency and CB radio frequencies.

A repeater would have the same WiFi network as its, ahem, repeating.
Does it need to be WiFi? Powerline that just does ethernet is really cheap.

Won’t somebody think of the hams?
Hello! PS5 chat! Yes! Digital please.
PS1 required a tactical book to keep the optical drive working, didn’t have a PS2 but did have a Sony CD Player of similar vintage which crapped out, PS3 was the LASER debacle (still going strong, btw) and the disc on my PS4 has been kaput, beeping and constantly ejecting for a year, the bastard. The optical drive has always been Sony’s Achilles’ cods.
Shame it looks like a knockoff of some sort of second rate Olympic venue, mind you.

The optical drive on my PS2 works fine As does that on my PS3 As does that on my PS4. I seem to have lost my late 90s discman, but that was working fine a few years ago.
Maybe it is because I don't try to explore the audio visual properties of chewing gum?
