My telly does 4k and HDR fine, but the blacks are rubbish and most of the apps are a bit slow now. It's not got great connectivity to other devices either.
It also doesn't save programs properly to a USB or hard drive.

Really? Are you not worried about burn-in? I’ve a Panasonic OLED. If you pause anything for more than five minutes, it goes to a Google screensaver that pulls photographs from the internet. Image updates once a minute, so nothing gets burned in. I expect the telly to die before burn in becomes an issue, such is the state of modern electronics. When I was considering getting OLED recently I found plenty of people still complaining about it. Hopefully it isn't an issue anymore because I quite fancy an upgrade soon. |

Tellyblog - Yesterday my old LG refused to wake up at all. Dead as a dodo. Dragged my old spare one out from storage and plugged it in. It did not approve of this, and gave a quite spectacular flash and bang. Great - 2 dead tellys in one day. Lucky bastard, you get to buy a fancy new telly now. Those OLED ones are all the rage. |

I just watched the last episode of Shogun. I really liked it - the series. Truly excellent. I hope I don’t become the kind of person who grows a moustache and gets a silk kimono. I loved it though. Seppuke at the drop of a hat. Word is bond. Shame, embarrassment and dishonour. A good way to live. I thought that was a great series. |
