Morning all, first day back at work today. Little bit nervous about it. And can’t help but feel I wasted my unemployment time, hardly any sitting around in my pants playing games

Dunno if the punching the biggest guy advice still stands once you have the job but don't take any chances. It is the north and they expect manliness.

Morning. Spent a good part of the weekend in Far Harbour, being friendly to synths and planning the downfall of the Children of Atom, once I've thoroughly betrayed their trust in me, and looted them blind. Bizarre quest involving retrieving memories from DiMA's brain provided confusion, entertainment and frustration in equal measures. I now feel close to holding power over the land, and will probably have some major moral decisions as to how things will work out. I'm enjoying it, and the lack of a clear right/wrong way to progress is challenging. 4*
Breakfast blog - coffee, and coffee.
Good luck Scubar

Scubar - the most important thing on day one of a new job is to repeatedly talk about how good some of your previous jobs have been. Also roll your eyes a lot. Should really endear you to your new boss and colleagues.

Morning!
Had your coffee? Good, you're gonna need it for . . .
WoW chat! I've gone balls deep again, already. They seem to have upped the rewards for, well, everything, meaning I am fully kitted out already. Managed to rattle through 3 out of 5 of the current raids (in raid finder (easy) mode), just to see the content, not particularly looking for gear. In the queuing time for the raids I've been focusing on getting the achievement to allow me to fly in the latest zones, which is proving a bit of a pain. Still enjoying it though, which is the main thing. Also managed to squeeze in a bit of old content, just to make me feel big and powerful. I was pleasantly surprised that they've tweaked some mechanics to make Siege soloable.
OTTM? Transferred my computer into its new case, a Thermaltake Core P3. I realise this means nothing to most of you but, basically, it makes it look prettier and is ready for liquid cooling later in the year.

Morning all!
BDT did overrun and I am not doing well this morning.
Fiancée's hen do on Saturday, so had the house to myself and managed to finish off South Park: The Fractured But Whole. A real good game and I've been left with one trophy to get for the platinum, so I might as well.
First time out in the car alone and managed to not die, so that's a plus.

Scubar I don't know how much experience you have with The North, but I expect the following precautions were taken as a minimum in order that you fit in and don't draw attention to yourself:
1) Visible tatoos on neck and hands. 2) Endless phone calls received throughout day from "bird hassling you for overdue child support". 3) Wearing trainers which cost £120 plus. 4) Strong opinions on football with fantastic technical analysis to back up any assertion made. Basically you spend 80% of your downtime listening to sky sports news. 5) No knowledge of finance other than "bankers stole all the money".

Good luck Scubar. Don't follow the advice on here, just make sure the coffee is strong, not too much milk, and no sugar.

Scubar. You'll want to make an impression and get noticed. Wear a novelty tie, preferably one that lights up. Also, to get conversation going with your new colleagues take in your own stand out packed lunch and eat it in the kitchen/canteen. I'd suggest mackerel and eggs with blue cheese. Maybe even take some gaming related gear, zelda phone case, nathan Drake mug etc

What is an AUKS? I know after googling what an Auks is, but why the capitalisation?

What is an AUKS? I know after googling what an Auks is, but why the capitalisation? It's just the notation used in that column for explaining crosswords; the answer is always capitalised. He just meant auks, as in the birds.

Morning all,
Last week I had a few days off and visited Salisbury. Nice place and the Haunch of Venison is one of the best pubs I have ever been to.
This weekend I watched 'Troy, Fall of a City'. It was, interesting............I also nabbed the daedric artefact trophy.

I also watched a British horror film called 'The Ritual'...very good, worth a watch if you get the chance I read the book a few years ago. Pretty decent, although the ending was a bit odd.
