I liked The Living Mountain by Nan Shepherd. It's probably in my top 5 books in the non-fiction nature writing genre. It's not in my top 5 books of all genres though.

Work, finishing up today for a few weeks. Need to go in after to check experiment and then it's wfh when can.
Games, cyberpunk pottering about. Random murders don't seem to be frowned upon in some area.
Cold and wet out, meeting up outside or in parks is much less appealing than in the summer.
TV, anything good coming up for Christmas or is everything covid delayed?

Hello.
Played a bit of Rise of the Tomb Raider last night. Currently stuck on a puzzle involving some Greek fire. Will give another go tonight then Google it.
Our full waste bin never got taken yesterday. Everyone else in the cul-de-sac had theres taken. Clowns. I've filled in a form on the council website but I'm going to have to phone them to hear how they can't come collect it. *Sigh*
Working till Tue them off till the 5th.
The pm is working from home today so I'll need to crack on with my Fri domestic duties.

Also, had a sideboard arrive from Argos yesterday. Built it, and discovered the front has a chip, and there’s a massive scuff on the top. No way of complaining/getting replacement bits online, so that’s me on the phone for hours later.
In the meantime, I now have to sit through a team Christmas get together Teams call

Jab chat, confused the NHS blood donating by having had flu jab and been told to not donate by their transplant people before. Had to get the nurse and try and find it in the book.
If all school children will be screened can you send them to be swabbed as punishment?

Would have been great, were it not for the shoddy connection I was getting from Prime last night. Wanted to watch The Office afterwards, but Prime wasn’t having any of it.
Strangely enough, Netflix was absolutely fine...
Workblog: I’m working up til Christmas Eve. And then will be back in the new year.
Amigablog: ShapeShifter continues to frustrate in my efforts to run Civ 2. And no one out there appears to have a fix for it.
So i through in the towel and played Turrican 2 instead. And did terribly.

I live in Refusenik Road, Cuntish Town, Bollocks-for-Brains, Fuckedinghamshire... we have a major landmark - Equitable Life towers, which wasn't equitable (went bust paying pension pots, savers 20p in the £1) nor has it life, being run by a skeleton staff. |

Bin collected! Webforms can actually work. What a time to be alive. Rattling through the housework as well. Apparently not stopping for cups of coffee and rolling about the floor in fits of anguish actually works. Who knew? We bought a radio times for the festive period. Not actually looked at a radio times this century I believe. Borrowed the PM's dad's clippers so getting my festive buzzcut on this weekend. MrTiddles have you invested your £1 yet in gamepass?
