Morning all!
After a beautifully pink sunrise, the skies are now grey and the air filled with rain. And it’s really windy - and not just because I had a Chinese takeaway last night.
Gamesblog:
TVblog: A few episodes of Adventure Time, most of which I didn’t see as I was in a food coma from the aforementioned takeaway.
Then the first two episodes of Star Trek: Lower Decks. Seems okay, has potential.
Broadbandblog: wildly inconsistent download speeds last night, meaning that streaming from both Prime and YouTube kept dropping to awfully-blocky resolutions... just like my face.

Hello.
TV. A bit of the Teenage Superstars thing. Some footage of splash one. My pal had fake id (and didn't look about 12) went one night towards the end. I was very jealous.
Games. A delivery in GTA and I put Minecraft on an iPad to see what all the fuss is about as I've never really played it.
Went to the park yesterday afternoon and we were there a lot longer than expected as the child met a pal from school. Was very cold.

My New Scientist subscription is a very welcome drop through the post on a weekly basis.
One article in the latest issue postulates that COVID19 will eventually evolve into an endemic virus, and join the other four viruses that cause the common cold.
Unfortunately they don’t know how long it may take for this to happen.

Once more South Birmingham has entered Narnia mode. Exchange of snowy garden pictures with the family. I win, practically leaving the competition in the dust, I mean snow.
At one point a bloke on a quad bike was barrelling down the silent, snowy road. I think it's the same one who used to terrify the neighbourhood with his extremely noisy vehicle until the police told him not to, but the snow muffles the sound and the rozzers are none the wiser. At least he's happy.
Loads of highly emotional phone calls with family, friends, and former students over the last days, also emails. I've never talked to so many sobbing people from all over the world before. It's emotionally very draining, but I'm doing okay. Everyone is offering support.
I've just sent an email to the German embassy in London asking for an emergency appointment to renew my passport which I will need for this dumb EU settlement scheme. Before I couldn't leave the Pref.Mam. on his own for a whole day, let alone expose him to the risk of getting the virus that I could have picked up outside. Now that it's just me, managing the risk has become easier (also, I don't care anymore). After my recent experience of rail travel I will certainly opt for a First Class ticket and hope that that entails fewer idiot encounters.
