That picture is blinding me with coolness. I love how the aviator glasses complete the look.
Pretty cold here, but could be worse. I talked to my brother yesterday and he reported that they had temperatures down to -12°C in Hamburg. Still, earlier today I went to the garage and retrieved a jersey from the washing line there. Frozen stiff, quite impressive.
No games apart from pottering around in ACNH. Last night I was too tired to play anything else.
Trainers: These days I prefer comfortable leather shoes and boots made for old ladies like me. I used to wear immaculate white trainers or sparkly girly ones, but they get scruffy so quickly.

gongfarmer Did you get your wheels back from the garage yet? Hi yep. They had to send the instrument cluster off for a refurb... all seems to be working again, which is a relief as it was about a quarter the price of a new replacement. Not sure what the refurb actually entailed though. Probably turned it off and on again.

I own one pair of M&S trainers which I only use for cycling. Other than that, sturdy thick-soled and cleated but smartish brown brogue boots, walking boots, and steel toe-cap boots. I don't like exposing my ankles, even in thick socks, because of the risk of sex people looking at me. Thanks for that, I now have images of Shenguins ankles floating around in my brain FWWAAHH - rubs knees extensively ahem (looks wistfully away into the distance)

Actually, they're not steel toe-cap. They're a non-ferous armoured toe, lighter and stronger than steel, and won't set off metal detectors. The soles and the rear of the heels are similarly armoured. Black leather, scruffy, about 10 years old, and still waterproof.
When the military fascists take over, my boots are ready for it. I'm not going to be bottom of the food chain in those boots.

It's E-biking. The bike, not the Shenguin does the hard work. Don't let him fool you.
I have recently upgraded my boots. I started wearing a pair I bought about 3 years ago to replace my old boots. The old boos had finally started to crack. Only about 10 years old. I would take them back, but for the lockdown.

MrTiddles - if sir wishes the correct footwear, these trainers would be ideal. Speedy, quiet and steel toe capped for that extra impact...

Edit: it's not the political system I'd choose, but it's best to be prepared. Edit 2: @kane, Magnum brand. As used by militarised police and repressive military regimes the world over. They do melt in hot weather though.

I do have a pair of Magnum elites (18 hole) but they are at least 10 years old now, I thought about investing in another pair but if I can find better then I would change my mind.

Ah, young scubar. Still in that early loved up phase, where you're not yet bitter and resentful towards each other. Don't worry, you'll get there soon enough.
