How many people here enjoy The Repair Shop? My daughters maintain it's a programme for people of a certain age...
I am just envious of the skills of the experts.

I love the Repair Shop. Many of the items are so ordinary, yet the stories behind them offer such a connection to earlier times. Hard not to be moved.

"The Victorians decided that splitting an infinitive was a grammatical mistake, and some people still agree with them."
Yeh, old fuckers.

I have never watched The Repair Shop.
I have never felt an emptiness in my life that could only be filled by watching The Repair Shop.
Does that answer the question?

Dammit, I love a split a infinitive almost as much as I hate the Oxford Comma.

I hope not. The 100k post should be a memorable event. Let's build a big dome!
But, listen up, you must all invest loads of cash in my snake oil shenanigans called 'The 100k bug'. Pay money here, to me, or all your lap tops will die, your businesses will crumble, your milk will be sour!

The Repair Shop is a ridiculous fantasy creation with obvious parallels with a Dwarves Workshop, where a few poor. desperate people are selected by Production Fairies to have their tears milked and fed to the idiot viewers. The fairies callously ignore all the other folk desperate to have objects repaired. Once the ensorcelled TeeVee fairies have stopped the illusion the whole reverts to reality As tenthenemy says, they've never repaired anything of mine. And nor are they likely to. The evil little bastards; MrTiddles would be a much better bet.
