253 I think Destry, if he survives til then, should have the honour of the 100,000 post. Thanks, but it's a lottery. It's probably gonna be a one word post from Sheep, a weather update from baby or an expletive ridden rant from Shenguin ( the foul-mouthed cunt)

I lay down a lot today. Docile, twitching, but essentially content.

Jack Whitehall is really a little toerag. Advertising private health insurance? This generation’s Gyles Brandreth.

I so fucking hate the Nationwide poetry adverts. And the other Nationwide adverts.
And, by extrapolation, I hate the fucking Nationwide Building Society.

Hi Lazy,
I'm watching the end of Beverley Hills Cop II (because (a) it's on and (b) it's nearly finished). Then I'm hitting the sack.
Sleep well, all. Tomorrow will be a good day.

Ah, Beverly Hills Cop II, a Tony Scott classic. What made him jump? A real tragedy.

Cabbage: cook twice as much as you need* parboil, (reserve water to pour down an annoying neighbour's drains). Cut out and throw stalky bits. Halve the remainder* and clingfilm both - put in fridge. About 20m before you're serving cottage pie, remove parcel, finely shred. fry strips of fatty bacon in pan, add the shredded stuff, coat the cabbage in the fat. Add pepper - lid on let it get crunchy. When cottage pie is ready to serve, take your crispy cabbage bacon mix, cut finer and serve with the cottage pie. *The real point is to have the other half ready to make bubble and squeak

I like red cabbage braised in red wine, with red wine vinegar, cinnamon, salt, pepper, sugar. It goes very nicely with beef.

I steam my cabbage (!), serve it up as it is to everyone else, then smother mine in hot horse radish and gravy so it doesn't taste like steamed cabbage. Horse radish sauce is best served cold with cold beef slices, gravy and roast potatoes. if you par boil your cabbage you can still stir fry it and add chopped stir fried bacon with seasoning and black pepper. Big numbers can be scary shit.

Weekend walk found ice on the lock and a lot more people out than last weekend. Time for more coffee this morning. No games, some silly TV and a Netflix thing about spies, the Russian have offed a lot of their old spies in the UK it seems. Boot chat, nice pair of white wellies at work so you can pretend your in a nuclear exclusion zone.

Morning
Cabbage chat. PM is a confirmed addict of the boiled stuff, and even saves the water to chill and drink as some kind of tonic. I cannot stand the stuff, and will only cook it for her with the extractor running full pelt.
I do like good cow cabbage though, either homemade coleslaw or pickled. I would probably like kimchi if I ever tried it. *updates mental shopping list
Games.. darts. We have been challenged to an online doubles match. Not sure how it’ll work, and seems to rely a lot on trust.
OTTM... ribeye steak, homemade chips, peas, peppercorn sauce is planned for VD tea. Possibly with fizz. No cards or gifts due to COVID.
Bit foggy out... lots of frozen snow about

Morning all.
The wind howls this morning, gusts. I can see the Channel, and it doesn’t look happy.
Gamesblog: yeah... no.
TVblog; Superstore.
Filmblog: First Man. Fantastic cinematography in the spaceflight scenes. The rest of the film? Not so much. There’s a similar dissonance with the soundtrack, which assaults you with a wonderful cacophony of bangs and creaks during rocket launches, but then gives a distracting score. Also, despite Gosling playing a good role, I have no knowledge of Armstrong being the tortured soul that he portrays. 4*
OTTM: good to see the Yanks giving tacit approval for a president to do absolutely anything and get away with it.

Absolutely belting. Track. A kiss ain't enough!

Crank.
It's just them and typically lasts for 5 minutes. Same goes for their jogging. They walk to the park, jog for a couple of minutes and walk back. I believe that this is all just for the benefit of their quasi-religious mates.
"What have you been up to today?" "Well, we sang some hymns and then went jogging in the park, because we are perfect.".
