Hello. Was going to play forza last night. Discovered the fucking about getting EA play linked to my xbawz account had deleted it from my laptop. Smashing!
Played a bit of Battlefield V instead. Got slapped about in multiplayer unsurprisingly. Lots of 'hacker' claims in the team chat.

Morning all.
I had a terrible night’s “sleep”, if one can call it that. Not sure if due to going to bed earlier, the full-belly I had from the Chinese takeaway we’d ordered, or the vaccine. Either way, I am a tad discombobulated today. Good times.
Gamesblog: nope.
TVblog: Arrested Development.
OTTM: Virgin installed cable yesterday, and we’re now cruising at a fast 100Mbps... it’s a quantum leap over the awful connectivity we’ve had with BT of late.

Morning.
I'm still debating whether to renew my Gamepass or not.
That is all.

Morning all
Went to bed at 4pm yesterday, solid sleep has restored me to the land of the almost-normal.
Dog needs food, so I need to go shopping.

BT are the pits; they simply cannot match cable speeds. Mine's 277mbps atm, but I pay £69 a month. When I switched from BT the BT salesman told me that they were as fast - they're not (BT maxed at 63mbps; that they were cheaper (but he was comparing BT exc. VAT with VM inc. VAT) - they weren't; and their current promise to refund you £100 if they fall below the promised speed only applies if they fail 3 days in a row and more importantly doesn't let you cancel your contract. BT are fucking awful ...

We were with BT now with Vodafone over the same cables.
When cancelling BT told me if my broadband went down they'd sort me out with a 4G mifi until it's working again. "It won't work" I said. Salesman argued the toss. It's on EE isn't it I asked. Yes he said. Don't get much of a signal in the house as I have an ee phone.
"You, do I've checked the postcode"
Ok then mate

Morning meat fans!
Off to the butchers shortly. Stewing lamb is on the list as planning a Moroccan lamb type thing in the slow cooker tomorrow. Plus some chicken breasts for a chicken n chick pea curry, a firm family favourite. Some pork n tomato bangers too.
Games, Fallout 4. Built 2 shelters in Sanctuary for The Groovy Gang (they want 5) but then ran out of the required materials. What's that? Oh I'll build the shelters AND find more materials whilst you just sit around. Gits. So I stormed off into the wasteland in a sulk. Killed a two headed dog. Then came across a sort of giant radio or satellite transmitter dish. Approached and was attacked by a couple of Raiders that I quickly dispatched, then looted their stuff. In one of the buildings was stairs down to a bunker. Unfortunately the two Raiders I'd killed had lots of friends, and dogs, down here. Legged back up it sharpish and kept running until I was a fair distance away and they weren't after me. This is when I realised my German Shepherd was still down in the bunker. Oops. Hopefully he'll be back when I next load my save.
OTTM, 23 days til the pub opens

We have BT Broadband. Their customer service is erratic.
There is a new company offering insane speeds - Community Fibre - but it was / is really hard to find out anything about them. During a period of particularly bad BT connectivity there were flyers everywhere for this new company. I think maybe they were sabotaging the BT cables...

edit: I'm a townie edit 2: fun fact, they still use the BT line not fibre optics.

Post-vaccine update: I’ve flomped on the sofa this morning, drifting in and out of sleep. A headache around 12:00 has been squished with the next round of paracetamol.

Really annoying that after 5 days of flogging myself to bits doing the prep, arranging 2 guys to do stuff and my new rig didn't get delivered.
It seems that 3 days "waiting despatch date" (in PCS's despatch bay) until Friday morning; "Order dispatched" for a Saturday before 2pm delivery doesn't mean that you'll get it the day after; which means that the new rig isn't arriving I guess until next Saturday, which means I have to rearrange everyone and everything a further two times. Throughout all this I cannot get hold of anyone ... I am going back to sleep ...
