Being born in Wanstead has it's advantages sometimes, I grew up around old slang just outside of bow bells, also I've sailed a bit in my youth. And I was born, technically, inside the sound of Bow Bells (although between 1941 and 1961 they were silenced by the Luftwaffe), and a similar theory was espoused by my father. Oz the Oarsman, as a sailor, did you serve on a bumboat? If it was a larger vessel, my mother would've been responsible for certifying you. *LB: I am astonished that you should think that Oz's trawling of the inter net should've caught a red herring...

Hello sailor! Nature versus man. 1-0. The cats brought a mouse in, so I built a humane mouse hotel to carry the little guy back out to the garden. Mr mouse obviously thought the four stars I’d given the hotel were not deserved and he took his business elsewhere. That elsewhere was my shoe and then my trouser leg. At this point I let down the whole of humanity, tossed the mouse hotel aside and kicked out at the little guy. He’s now living in the cellar and the cats are not interested in going down there to sort him out. My beer is in the cellar. I’m not sure how long this standoff will last. Until the mouse runs out of beer.

Being born in Wanstead has it's advantages sometimes, I grew up around old slang just outside of bow bells, also I've sailed a bit in my youth. The internet says it’s from the Old English beallucas ... I’m not saying that just out of badness. I think you’ve been sold a salty seadog’s tale. I agree (as said -bollock knife 13th cent.) and the word beallucas 13th century (also Wycliffe's bible 1282 ad Leviticus xxii verse 24) for ballock or bollock. The slang terminology was used on board not just on the 60 footer that I trained on but also when I was with the Drake fellowship in London (St. Katherine's docks) and in the Bahamas, although the use wasn't always common place or regular, the word rollocks was used for row locks and bollocks was synonymous for the bow locks. Sometimes history forgets for convenience and decency sake.

Are we still talking bollocks? No need to answer that really.

Anyway... morning all!
I am feeling much better this morning. Feel like I’ve been punched in the arm, but that’s about it. We’ll see how I progress through the day. One thing to take from this is that I know my body has had a reaction to it, and is therefore building resistance. However, I have been told that the second jab’s after-effects are worse than the first... oh my...
Gamesblog: so close to bunging Fallout 4 on... so close...
TVblog: Arrested Development.
Amigablog: some games... Battle Squadron, Uridium 2, Gunbee F99. And then a couple of demos. Desert Dreams was the highlight - great visuals and pumpin’ tunes.

I’ve just had my first vaccine injection.
It was ok, as injections go.

I spent most of yesterday playing Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds.
Pretty thrilling. The most thrilling part was when I got a ‘kill’, that wasn’t a bot, in the last six of the game. I felt like a big man. A lot of the solo games, though, were filled with Level 500 players who were amazingly good. They seemed superhuman at times. I watched a death-cam after I was dispatched in one game. A player was running along, checking things, carrying out some light administration, then he casually turned round, zoomed in on a cliff-top and shot my man through the head.
My big kill was a bit more cack-handed, but the pre-amble was good. I drove a luxury four-by-four vehicle into the sea, clambered onto a speedboat, waited off-shore for five minutes, then went back in and clambered up the rocks with a sniper rifle.
It was pretty thrilling if you were there. Thrilling if you were me.

The YouTube ads I'm getting are always about "simple cremations", which is a tad worrying.

If you’re suggesting that Bill Gates and Microsoft have anything to do with this then you’re completely wrong. Bill Gates is a great man - a philanthropist. Humanity’s potential is his passion.

No sweet, no sticker, no card. I was not emotionally needy about it.

Morning all!
I tried to play COD of Warzone this morning, but it turned out the download I had left going overnight decided to stop after only downloading about a fifth of the (100GB) game. So no COD for me. I tried fortnight as an alternative but it made me watch a long video and then play some stupid bowlocks about space rifts or something, and by the time it actually let me play the game I had grown bored of it and quit out. 4 stars.
Valheim! There now seem to be two massive trolls that have taken up residence on either side of my coastal lodgings on the edge of the Black Forest. I erected some spiked logs as a barricade as I was feeling a bit jittery going about my business at home with the trolls on the loose.
Started venturing into a nearby dungeon, as I need some surtling cores to build a smelter. These are annoyingly hard to come buy. I have two out of five so far. I also keep getting destroyed by the skeletons in the dungeons, the archers do a lot of damage and playing on a laptop trackpad it is hard to dodge. May hook up the controller later and go and get my revenge on some skellingtons.
Gave the monster hunter demo another go too. Top banana. Perhaps we can get some C-boxer hunts going?
