Dog food has been purchased. Now settled in for an afternoon of England getting stuffed at cricket and rugby.
Downloaded Valheim. The pump monster got to me in the end. Is it really only 600Mb? Was expecting a multi gig affair

I can see my seat. It's been over a year since I've seen my seat in real life. <sniffle> Row 31, seat 105. Could you see my seat? Yes yes you can! Just under the cross of the T.

Vodafone are FTTC. Which is Openreach infrastructure. The tomfoolery is done at the exchange I believe.
Virgin (for the most part)despite all their advertising is also FTTC (effectively) with the feed to your house copper wire. Just better copper wire.
Or so I read.

TuffersEnjoying Fallout 4 now then? All this talk of it makes me want to play it again. Damnit. Yes, I am. I think. Not sure about the settlement building, it seems like it could be a game of its own. Maybe I can do the minimum and get on with main quests, or maybe it's key. I don't really know what to do with all the stuff I'm collecting, and I'm collecting everything. So much that I maxed out and then just dumped everything, clothes, junk, weapons, ammo etc in the various work benches in sanctuary. Also the armour, I'm still in my blue vault suit but I have loads of dead raiders gear and a few other items. Tonnes of dead animal meat with tasty radiation (yum), and loads more. Bewildering! Then there's the skills and perks, weapon upgrades, lock picking, etc I'm waiting for Resident Evil Village for PS5 (May) so trying not to buy anything else until then. Tldr, I need to spend a night reading beginners tips and watching videos for Fallout 4

Post-vaccine update: I’ve flomped on the sofa this morning, drifting in and out of sleep. A headache around 12:00 has been squished with the next round of paracetamol. First dibs on Amipal's stuff. RIP in peace.

I thought Fallout 4 was disappointing.
It was fun enough in many ways, but it is exactly the same game as Fallout 3 and NV. And Oblivion and Skyrim.
For the 5th game it was unambitious. The fighting and mission system are desperately in need of an overhaul.
It had been massively overtaken by The Witcher, Mass Effect and Dragon Age. At least until Bioware took a wrong turn.

The settlements were just annoying. If you could kill Preston it would be a much better game.

Virgin (for the most part)despite all their advertising is also FTTC (effectively) with the feed to your house copper wire. Just better copper wire. Or so I read. Not so here. If you think about it, they could not deliver 368mbps to my house over copper ... You may not remember it but trunk fibre cables were laid way back../ whether and which company provides what depends on what the trunk fibre to the main exchange is. Here in Aylesbury, only Virgin have sensible speeds. And they are strongly rumoured to be installing 1gbps next year; it's already tapped into the exchange! Everyone else does deliver the some or part of the journey via copper so they are capped out at 63mbps... I know that MrTiddles has very similar results at the top end in his area with 1gbps already available (there's many more more pages of suppliers at the shitty copper cable end in both.) You can check via www.thinkbroadband.com/packages . Here's my area:

I'm getting 31mbps on the Which checker. No problem gaming or streaming. Not sure what difference I'd see with a faster provider.

TuffersBeen a while since I’ve played it... but most armour you pick up will be better at protecting you than the vault suit. Saying that, I think it boosts your intelligence or dexterity? Something like that. Settlements are really on there for trophies I think. Though it is amazing what you can actually build sometimes. If you can, skip eating rad-laced food, and heal yourself with medkits instead.

I opted for a month's Gamepass in the hope I'd have a real car to play with in that time.
I'm also very tight with my wad.

Another shocker in the rugby. Jones should hopefully be gone soon and someone else can have a go.
My arm is no longer sore from jab, completely 100% now.
Chicken Balti for dinner, PM said it was too hot, it wasn't, it was magnificent.

Another shocker in the rugby. Jones should hopefully be gone soon and someone else can have a go. Not only Jones, but Farrell too. His creativity doesn't quite match a cement block. To my knowledge he has never thrown a dummy, even at the idiots whose passion (aka indiscipline) would've had Johnson's eyebrows in his hairline and a paintstripper bollocking. The captain has a responsibility not only for discipline, but also for reacting to a failed gameplan by rapidly reorganising the team. And goodbye Silverwood... the entire Indian tour has been an exercise in planning to fail through incompetent management. Root must be replaced as captain of the test side; he defers far too often to judt about everyone else. He's too nice ...

Yes Virgin are a fibre infrastructure. To your street.
It's not *usually* fibre into your house (although they do offer that)
Once at your street for the most part it's coax into your home. So it can take higher speeds.

Bit shit about the delivery small print ChumblesI'm waiting on some switches to build a keyboard and they're on a 27 day delivery from China. Used that site you screenshotted. Virgin are offering 1Gb to this address. Didn't know that.

What's a paintstripper bollocking? My dear Tids, I am sure your fertile imagination can put paintstripper and bollocks together to come up with a convincing way to extract what you require. No need to rise to these heights...
