Well I do not know what resolution or frame rate you want to game at, but that setup should be fine for 1440p 60hz, maybe even 144hz depending on the game.
I would wait until GPU prices return to normal though unless you can find a 5700 for a decent price. I had a quick look online yesterday on PC Partspicker and nothing decent was available for less than £1k.

What a weekend, eh? Welcome to the first day on the roadmap out of lockdown! We’ll have to face the outside world some day...
Tv - Line Of Duty, first proper interview scene done, I’ve missed that “beeeeeeeeeeeep”
Games - Horizon: Zero Dawn, thought I’d go back and have another go at it. Hooked already, shooting robot dinos is great. Going to do it doing all the side quests this time, maybe go for the platinum.
Help?

Thanks for the help. I'm going to hd on the cpu/gpu change and keep with my apu.
I am upgrading to an SSD which apparently is a good idea.

Weekend
It was ok. I played Fortnite on Saturday morning. I won a game, with my friend and two hardcore gaming strangers. After that we came maybe second and third a couple of times. I don't feel so crazy about the new crafting additions, but ... what can you do? ...
Films / television
I watched The Shape of Water and The Hunt. Good. Good films. Also started watching Boardwalk Empire. I liked it.
Food
I made a delicious stir fry. I also bought and cooked some morel mushrooms because I had never had them before. They were ok.
That is all. That is the essence of my weekend.
