OTTM, eating curried chick peas two nights running gives, erm, interesting results. You make your own Chana Masala? I have a good recipe.

Hi I'm sat in my deck chair in the garden. Glorious sun, lovely and warm. Forecast to get up to 21° later. Sweet. Games. PS Now. Played some Bioshock Infinite. Mental. OTTM, eating curried chick peas two nights running gives, erm, interesting results. I've been considering setting up for work on the balcony the past few days. We have a somewhat rickety occasional chair there, but theres a spider who hast weaved their web around it. Its the spider's chair now. Plotting how to take it back.

But I ate it both Sunday and Monday night (left overs) with chapatis. It's basically a spicy madras style chicken curry with a couple of tins of chickpeas chucked in for added bulk and fibre. Plus they taste nice when they've soaked up the spicy curry goodness. *in my house

Last night - Monster Hunter.
I've played nigh on 6 hours of it already, despite only starting it on Saturday. I've got a very snazzy snow outfit at the moment, and smashed up a giant sumo frog/turtle abomination as my latest conquest last night. It has a rather nifty great sword you can craft from its remnants so I'm going to smash it again tonight.
Valheim has been left in the dust. Moribund.

Games - Horizon. Great game, lots of bows, traps bombs and special ways you can take out Dinobots.
I run up and twat them around the face with a stick. All up in their grill.
The best.

Infinite was great. I even liked the story and the ending. Couldn't understand the hate for it - maybe not having played the first two helped.

I've completed the original Bioshock twice (on Ps3 & ps4) but also started the second game twice and gave up. First try at Infinite as it's on PS Now and it appears to be the bonus edition as I was awarded a load of free powers and silver eagles at the Blue Ribbon restaurant.

Infinite was great. I even liked the story and the ending. Couldn't understand the hate for it - maybe not having played the first two helped. I didn't hate it. It wasn't as clever as it thought it was. Which is not surprising given the preening over it from Ken. It was a pretty, immersive shooter with some bollocks philosophy thrown in on top. My problem with it was it was sold as a gamechanger. It was really just a prettier version of Bioshock set in the air rather than underwater.. The first game was excellent. I'd recently bought a new PC. My first with a flat screen. The oil on water effects at the start were stunning. It convinced me I needed a PS3. All 3 are very cheap on PS4. 2 is just a copy of 1, but they are still pretty good.

Also it is good to know that our Met overlords handled the Clapham vigil sensitively.

My Monster Hunter has a nice hat.
And I think she’s got the hang of the button mashing combos.
I’m going to venture online tonight.

A guy at work is retiring and had £200k pension pot he wanted to use to purchase an income drawdown product. The IFA wanted to take an £8k fee for arranging this. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask etc...

Is Monster Hunter Rise worth getting?
I liked Monster Hunter World, and one of the earlier Monster Hunters. I lost interest with MHW rapidly though, for some reason ...
I think it was to do with your old armour becoming sort of ... lacklustre. You had to recraft it in the second part of the game (after the big story battle) in another way to continue getting upgrades.

I'd spent a lot of time getting together a burnished pink suit of armour, then overnight it became worthless. That was my 'reward' for finishing the story. Make all your armour again. At least that's how it felt. I'd been working towards getting a burnished pink cavalier hat too, but what would have been the point?

Rise is tremendous, but the whole reach a certain level and then start over for high rank is just how monster Hunter works. They only do it once though as far as I know. To give you something to work towards. Plus the high rank sets are snazzier I think.

I didn’t get on with MHW. You’re hunting deadly monsters, why are they making it as twee as possible? Maybe it’s a JRPG thing. You’re hunting monsters, it should be all bare chested burly men in tight leather trousers.

Rise also has much better multiplayer or so I’ve heard. You can search for people wanting to do a specific hunt, and gather in the hunting hall to put up quests and go out and do hunts. Smashing a monster that took you 40 minutes to beat in single player, in 2 minutes in multiplayer because there’s a level 150 Hunter in your group is tremendous fun. The monster Hunter online community is the best. Top people.
