My wifi signal goes to shit after 5 p.m. and I can no longer play BR games in the evening. It's fine during the day. I have ordered a 5m ethernet cable to see if hard wiring gets round the problem. If not I'm going to bitch and moan to BT on an epic scale. An epic scale!!
I wanted to play Cyberpunk too, but there was a massive update.

Install the free wifiman app on your phone and see what the quiet channels are. That might help a bit. I'd do some speedtests as well at different times of the day and keep a note. BT will tell you tough shite tbh or try and sell you a faster connection. It's probably the kid next door stealing your WiFi to play BR games.

Don't know if you can choose the WiFi channels or not.
{Edit} Apparently you can. I'd see as well if you can make your pc a preferred device so it gets most of the bandwidth. Your children don't need cbeebies on iPlayer do they?

Our solution was to go over to Virgin and ditch BT entirely. Still in the honeymoon phase, can’t complain. |

On ADSL our connection was gash but moving to VDSL helped and it's fine now apart from occasionally dropping when it's sub zero temperatures.
Virgin I can get - but they want money for caller id. Fuck that.
The two KitKats that were left seem to have been munched by the pm. Probably retaliation for me eating the child's eggs.

We got our BT connection fixed eventually, and it was good for six weeks but it's started to cut out again.
The problem (a problem) is that the BT advert makes you feel like a lemon for having broadband that cuts out. It implies you're going to lose your job. So if you already have BT it's almost like the advert's encouraging you away.

This week is using up last year's leave now. Seems like good timing for the sun. Next two weeks are holiday as well, all organised early last year before lockdowns. I doubt we would be able to go away in the summer anyway.
