hi
I cooked a meal, inspired by the flavours of India last night. I / we also watched two episodes of Boardwalk Empire. It was nice.
Today I need to get onto someone about fixing our gate. I get the feeling that the phone is king when it comes to arranging people to come and repair things. Emails don't seem to cut it.

I’m not angry with Shenguin’s mushroom “joke” for its comedy value, more with how mould was spelt. Hey hey! Partner set an alarm for 6am to ensure she was first in line to check the availability of “local” vaccination centres. Eastbourne now, but still no Brighton for her. She then discovered the cat huddled over a still-moving mouse. In her haste to remove the feline from the seen, he’s pulled great chunks out of her favourite jumper with his might claws. A very happy, and not-at-all stressful morning on the amipal household. Gamesblog: a friend completed The Chaos Engine yesterday. Quite an achievement! Furthest I’ve ever got is 2.4. TVblog: Adventure Time. And Babylon 5. |

My Nan and Grandad would often visit the Great Barr ex-servicemans' club.
Were they clubbing?
Also - it's hard to hear the word 'clubbing' and not think of the men of the North merrily clubbing seals.

If temperatures rise and glacial ice continues to melt, with the consequent flooding of lowland areas, will there be a plague of crocodiles? I once read something that suggested there was a plague of crocodiles in ancient times, due to flooding (possibly down to El Niño events). This is why there are legends of sea monsters.

When my PM went for her vaccine in an abandoned Argos the other day, they were playing 'The Drugs Don't Work' by The Verve over the tannoy. A bit of gallows humour is all very well, but surely playing anything by the Verve is taking things a little too far?
