I'm much more slender (despite the middle age gut) and I have hair. So in conclusion, fuck you. Thanks for attending my Ted talk. I'm not sorry. Honestly you tell someone they have pop star looks and this is the thanks you get. I've always pictured Crank as a less gaunt Spud Murphy.

Crankcaller has dropped enough references to make me suspect we both lived in the same area of Toxteth in the late 1990s. So perhaps I have seen him ... Buried deep in the unconscious: A face from last night's dreams. Or nightmares.

To be a true Chatterboxer he needs to have frequented the Halfway House in Four Oaks over an extended period. Anything else just isn't trying.

Lazy I was on Aigburth Road. Up near lark lane to begin with then further down at the toxteth end. But I came back up the road late 97.
"A less gaunt Spud Murphy" I'm keeping that in case I ever have to use online dating. I mean that's got to get the ladies swiping left.

I was in St Michaels in the Hamlet for a year then moved to Upper Parliament Street, but back to Lark Lane, then Princes Park (next to Princes Park) ...
I liked Lark Lane. I worked in The Masonic for a while.

Just signed up for a weeks free trial of MLB.tv, just in time to watch highlights of the Blue Jays getting stuffed by the Astros.

I don't remember the Masonic. The Albert(?) was the other pub? Used to go there. I know there were two pubs and the wine bar then. Upper Parliament Street is all gentrified I believe with new builds. I used to occasionally visit someone in a flat there who sold err, herbal remedies to those in need. Currently waiting on a plumber who txt'd to say he'd be round "this afternoon". We're onto plums I believe.

Yeah - The Albert, The Masonic, The Parkfield(?) and Keith's.
The Albert I found to be very unpredictable. The Masonic was great until they took out the jukebox and brought in the food.
I began to gravitate more and more towards Keith's ...

What do you call a scouser in a suit?
I bought a motor bike from a man in Toxteth. Then crashed in five minutes later in Falkner Square.
A nice lady helped me up.
That lady is now …

The Masonic: A real pub for real people The Albert: Postgrad students and people susceptible to bouts of erratic behaviour The Parkfield: A real(ler) pub for real(ler) people (over 40 years of age and 100 percent from Liverpool) Keith's: The Lark Lane bourgeoisie
That is how I remember it anyway.

I saw the Blue Jays get beaten by the Red Sox a number of years ago, great night especially the passing of the beer down the row* from the vendor to you, all very civilised and trusting. *Basically you shout at the guy what you want, send the money down and the beer and the change arrive back.

My granny taught me that.
