Because I have nothing better to do on Friday evenings, I have long enjoyed Tom Allen's work in 'Bake Off: An Extra Slice', where he goes through the audience and slags off their cakes. He's very quick, and rude in a funny but not nasty way. So there.

Games
I played 'Player Unknown's Battlegrounds' a couple of times, last night ...
I was lucky to be dropped onto Erangel Island, meaning I could mooch about in my favourite locale - 'Stalber Hill'.
It's a nice place, good views. Not many people go there.
The first time I landed and saw that someone else had gone there, so I ran down the hill, looted a house then drove away as fast as I could in an orange soft-top sports-car. Ten minutes later I turned over the car on a grassy knoll and was gunned down by a level 500 player waiting by a bridge.
In the second game I ran down the hill and swam to a speed-boat, then went and moored offshore for ten minutes. 'Hehehe' I thought, but ... after clambering up onto the beach I was run over by a man, or woman - a character - in a lime green hatchback.
Good games. 8 out of 10

I gave the new Fortnite season a quick go. The sniper rifle is back which is great news as I slay with that thing, I was mopping up the end game with it and nearly snatched the win, but came 2nd with 5 kills. The mechanical guns are gone and I think you can obtain gold bars for doing tasks to upgrade weapons, which seems like far too much work.
There are odd flying saucers about too, but I am not sure what they do other than lock on to you occasionally and play spooky music. The battle pass structure looks really odd too, unfortunately Rick is right at the very end.

Scubar, Thanks for the tips. It feels as if wherever I expand to I will be hit on the other side. The 'not favourable' aspect of a settlement type is annoying but very good. Got dwarves to the left and thinking that's the logical place to expand to. Dwarves to the left of me Lizards to the right Here I am Stuck in the middle with Scoobs.

The zoom book group I was facilitating this afternoon has been cancelled as four folk can't make it. Is it because I'm facilitating it? I do hope so.
I too thought a scrub was also known as a bus stop.

I was eight years old when I became 'vegetarian' and I remember hearing my grandad, my step-grandad - the man my nan married - tell my dad that it would make my 'bum go soft'. What the Hell? |
