Also, did anyone else hear the beeb pitchside reporter speak to Paul Lambert pre match? I'm can't be sure, but I thought he said "Croatia are a poor ageing team" ?!
Their better players are definitely ageing, but I don't think they're poor. Not as good as they were a few years ago, but not poor. Or maybe he's right.
Looking forward to tomorrow, France v Germany. Hopefully no repeat of Spain '82 - Schumacher trying to decapitate Battiston.
If we get through the group, one of Fra/Ger is probably England's 2nd round game. Either them or Portugal. Oh.

I do wonder if, in the end, it all comes down to diet. Scottish food is hearty fare. Alas, Czech food is even heartier. Croatian food? It's to be seen but I suspect it's the kind of greasy muck that saw both the Greek and Roman empires collapse.
