I can remember - the first time I saw the Cutty Sark, and I was looking around to find out why it was famous, what had it done? Was it like the Victory? The Golden Hinde?
No … Just fast. A fast sailing ship … for the kind of ship that it was.
The Golden Hinde is good but it’s sadly a replica.

Yorktown was a battle, not a ship. We do not count foreign ships. It's ine reason why we don't do that well in naval battles. |

I'd rate the entire Royal Navy a massive disappointment.
As I understand it since Crimea he only proper battle they have won was at Toulon in 1940 v the French.
And that was sneaky as the French were our allies at the time.

Why do we now have to tolerate Spanish footballers being known by their nicknames, like 'Rodri' or 'Pedri'? Hipster nonsense. It was bad enough when it was just the Brazilians. Sir Steve Clarke had better be lobbying UEFA to get our shirts rebranded for Big Dykesy, Wee Robbo and the rest of the lads ASAP.
