Ozymandias KaneThe Olympics is starting soon isn’t it? All sorts of grappling, fencing, track and field events … I’m hoping the coverage isn’t too boat and bike centric. And Judo, mind you've mentioned grappling and that pretty much sums up modern (Sport) Judo unfortunately. I was thinking of Judo as a grappling sport. And I stand by it. The original Jigoro Kano concept was grapple-forward. Kodokan Fact

Morning all. I was thinking of that Mitchell and Webb sketch with the Nazis earlier. Laser pens, booing the other team's national anthem, diving and dodgy penalties, Hans, are we the baddies?
Anyhoo, sunny out. My last day of work for a week.
Games: Some solo Fortnite games last night.

Who else is pumped for the big FF showdown on Sunday? It will be a complete lottery, especially with no substitutions possible. I've followed the obvious golden rule - select as many Harolds as possible - but correct choice of captain is what probably wins it. Let's just hope that Fantasy Football is the real winner.

I don't think the laser pen was a laser pen. The light spot appears to be a centimetre or so in diameter, as if the beam of light has dissipated slightly. And laser light doesn't dissipate. That is the essence of the laser.
Would the fatcats at UEFA listen, though? I very much doubt it.

Plus I very much doubt a handheld laser bought from eBay will have quite as many tolerances as lab-bench-stuff.

In my dreams the result will fire me to the very top of the table. As if all this time I've been crouching at the bottom, in order to leap up to the top.

'No, Mr Schmeichel, I expect you to fumble Sir Harold's terrible penalty!'

Hey you.
Filmblog: oooh ooh ooh ooooh, THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS! Yes, I watched some classic Bond last night, courtesy of ITV4. Dalton at his ruddy best. All this talk of Daniel Craig being the rugged, violent Bond... Hey! You’re forgetting the Welshman! That opening scene on The Rock… blimes.
Amigablog: in an effort to sort the filename issue from yesterday, I’ve installed a new filesystem. This has also meant copying all data back to the partition, which also means completely rebuilding the games index catalogue… I may have made more work for myself than needed.

Did you know.
That during the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants, they chose a new form for Gozer: that of a giant Sloar! Many Shubs and Zulls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day.
Food for thought.

I'm no egghead scientist. But I've used a laser pen.
Certainly at night the frickin laser end point gets bigger the further away it is. So yeah, I do believe it was a laser.
Plus my inbuilt prejudice against all football fans.
Hello. BOPS4 Blackout. No kills. Unbelievably no damage. But, but I shot folk. Decent fun though. Played with some Arab lads who revived me a few times.

1. Sean Connery 2. Roger Moore 3. Daniel Craig 4. n/a 5. n/a 6. n/a
The only James Bond film I've seen that didn't have Sean Connery, Roger Moore, or Daniel Craig was that Pierce Brosnan one where he had the invisible car. I liked it.

Hello. BOPS4 Blackout. No kills. Unbelievably no damage. But, but I shot folk. Decent fun though. Played with some Arab lads who revived me a few times. On PC? When you play random squads on PC for any PC game it is nearly always Arab types. They probably actually come from Israel, Cyprus and Turkey, the more war torn ones. The ex-Yugoslavia countries for some reason don't seem to play (perhaps the pain is still too recent). The Russians and ex-Soviets play in their droves, but they tend to play with themselves.

I got my 4 year old playing a free karting game, he seemed to enjoy it and had a basic grasp on the controls. Time to get him playing Doom?
