First Doddy, now Stephen Hawking, 2018 is shaping up to be another monster. Meh. 2018 is just collecting the overdues that were missed in 2016s bumper cull. I just hope Prince Philip hasn’t started any long books recently.

Morning you lot.
Considering he was told he wouldn't live beyond 40, Hawkins did bloody well.
Last night I had to have a change from watching MST3K- we've been going through the old ones pretty much non-stop for weeks. So we watched the live-action Full Metal Alchemist (the first hour anyway). Mad.
I also cut some mounts for a couple of prints for the last open print competition of the season.

It's about time they freshened up the Final Destinaton series. I'm not familiar with the films. Does that mean Ken Dodd, Stephen Hawking and Prince Philip would have to be on the same plane? Sounds like it would turn into an Airplane reboot if anything.

People are dying now who never died before.
A sobering thought.

We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place But who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Sahara. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton, berks greater than Milney. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA So massively exceeds the set of actual people. In the teeth of those stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here, wasting our lives of the husk of the shell of the decaying offshoot of the Guardian Gamesblog Chatterbox.
Morning! What’s the good word?

Morning,
More skyrimming last night, tried to track down a transmute spell, thought I’d join the college. Failed the application test as I don’t have enough magicka. Starting to get to the stage where the dragons are annoying more than a challenge.

Morning, More skyrimming last night, tried to track down a transmute spell, thought I’d join the college. Failed the application test as I don’t have enough magicka. Starting to get to the stage where the dragons are annoying more than a challenge. If you have all the DLC you'll have dragons, cultists and vamps appearing when you fast-travel. The only bonus is that they'll start fighting each other. The transmute spell is very handy, change iron ore to gold and make gold rings is the quickest way to up your smithing. I've mentioned it before but find the Lovers Stone (near Markarth). It ups all XP by 15%, the earlier you activate it the better. There's a bound bow spell in Fort Amol (in a bucket), but it's tough early on and you need a decent amount of magika to cast it. Stick mystic binding on it and you have a daedric level bow with daedric arrows. Tasty. Probably not worth going for it until you're around level 15.

The G headline is "Modern cosmology's greatest star dies"; I think it's clear that jokes about the recently deceased are ok in G-land.

We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. A strange conception of luck, if you'll excuse the pun. Sophocles suggested that to have never been born would be the greatest boon of all. It certainly would have saved me a lot of time and effort.
