The best time to buy a PS5 is at the point of release. The technology moves on so fast they are out-dated in a couple of years. They are also rubbish for FPS games. I would just sit tight for another 12 months then build a gaming PC. By that point a mid range rig will be light years ahead of a PS5. Show me on the doll where Jim Ryan touched you? I'm not touching your doll; not even if you sanitize it.

Or in the Glaswegian vernacular:
"I'm not touching you doll; not even if you sanitize it."

I like the visuals of the new Dune, but I don't like what appears to be a major change in the plotline of the book. The central premise is that Paul Atreides has the capability of becoming Maud'dib through the Bene Gesserit. But his prescience is only activated by the spice.
So the bit where he dreams of Ghani with the Light Brown Hair* on Caladan is just nonsense. Frank Herbert went to immense trouble to keep deus ex machina crap like this out because it makes literally anything possible. Without handling the plot correctly the suspension of disbelief has to be carried by the FX and the acting... Nonetheless, I look forward to seeing it.
I am tooooooooooooooooooo hot. Please Asclepius, get them to give me some antibiotics pdq. Oh, you're on strike ...

For some reason I only ever played the first couple of hours of the original. Don't know why I never went back to it.

As an experienced officer in the destruction of Necromorphs (over 3,500 confirmed kills), I'll be in the rear with the gear.*

I had another large chicken tikka kebab from the same place as I did on Monday. The PM is back tomorrow so no more of that takeaway shenanigans.
It was delightful. I'm going to now hang up a washing and have a cold beer.

Gear in the rear? Apparently half a pill slipped up your arse is very pleasant.

Yay!
For once I can actually join in book wanker chat and say that I read American Physco before I watched the film.
And the book was better! The descriptions of the clothes!
