Why is there this reverse snobbery shit about reading a book. I used to read a helluva lot and get called a swot a lot... thank ghod that they didn't pick up on Sir Swotalot. But the stigmatisation of learners and readers by a peer group in working class areas is a pernicious habit. It restricts our / their life choices and deprives us of potential talent. I googled this for the distinction between actor and thespian; wikidiff.com As nouns the difference between actor and thespian is that actor is a person who performs in a theatrical play or film while thespian is an actor or player. As a adjective thespian is of, or relating to drama and acting; dramatic, theatrical. I have always wondered why (oops) 'they' changed it. |
