Cerberus was meant to be canis but I’ll settle for naming cannons. Best games involving ships? The last few assassins creed don’t match ass pirates. I've tried a few, including North Atlantic Convoy Raider. In modern times, I like the look of Naval Action, but like Elite: Dangerous it's a massive time soak. I can't actually play these as I can't use a keyboard. World of Warships has a huge following; free to play-ish, but only if you don't mind playng at a disadvantage. I love Sid Meier's Pirates, apart from the fucing dancing. |

I remember when Opera was able to run self contained from a 3.5" floppy disc. La Boheme I think, one of the shorter ones. Boom tish.
Good morning.
I'm a little out of sorts. Was woken about 4 and didn't get back to sleep till nearly 6. Then woken by the child at half six and up at 8.45.
TV. First episode of DopeSick. What a bunch of cunts that family are.
Games. Why yes! The child wanted a run around on Minecraft on the PS5. So I sat and watched that grumbling wanting a go of the box. Had a play on Astros Playroom. Good fun. A few races in GTA and I downloaded the Division 2 overnight as the graphics are supposed to be better. Sheep is correct in that it really needs a 4k. The graphics on Astro popped on my 1080 telly - but I could see on 4k it would rock.
Still finding my way round the new gui/button config.
Apparently {redacted} wanted a PS5 from Santa. So the child is going to rock in on Monday and have a mic drop moment. {Redacted} can be a little cow sometimes.

A couple of episodes of Succession. It's actually quite good once you start watching it like it's a drama and realise that the people who say it's funny are idiots. The Guardian giving it the full Fleabag hagiography treatment doesn't help.
Ottm. The big tennis exhibition I was going to next week, which had Andy Murray, Emma Raducanu and all that, has been cancelled. Fuck you, Omicron.
On the plus side, had a Chinese takeaway last night and I do enjoy collecting rice in the prawn crackers and eating it, so at least I'll always have those memories.

I was supposed to be spending the afternoon in the pub, but I'm lacking any enthusiasm to leave the house atm. A free pass too from the PM and kids ie/ I have no responsibilities today other than being home at a reasonable time for Chinese takeaway. I'm getting old. Or boring. A boil on the bum of fun. Sigh.
Games. I noticed the kids have been hiding away upstairs playing together, each on their own I-pad. I enquired as to what game it was. "Genshin Impact, Dad. You should get it then we can all play it together". Hmmmm... It did look OK, but I wondered about about a possible knock on the door from Constable Yewtree.
OTTM, Crank! You probably already have said, but where/how did you acquire the PS5? I'll pass the info onto a friend who's still not managed to get one yet. (oooh fwend etc).

TuffersI used this lot: twitter.com/PS5StockAlertUKThey have a discord. You join it and tell the bot what country you are in and what you're after. You then get notifications straight away when in stock. Totally free though I've thrown them a donation. I could have had about 3 or 4 over the week I tried. Their twitter also posts upcoming drops they know of but the discord is quicker. Not just ps5; Xbox, graphics cards and the like.

Genshin Impact is quite good for a gacha game, it also has a PC client, I tried it for a while and apart from the ridiculous number of currencies it's fun and you can ftp. I have seen selected moments from it, and I thought it was funny. I thought moments were funny… some of the moments … I don’t like the way the camera zooms and jerks as if it’s a fly on the wall documentary. Like Battlestar Galactica used to do. Not for me. GamesFortnite. I just played Fortnite. I like the presence of Father Christmas. Lots of Christmas cheer. |

A friend I met up with on Wednesday got pinged by track and trace for Covid contact, he's negative and after testing so am I, was quite stressful so I poured myself a glass of red wine to wait for the results whilst running though my mind all the hassle that would be involved if I tested positive, especially picking up the meat from the butchers on Tuesday.
I can take or leave missing Christmas day with Pref.Mam's family.
Getting boosted tomorrow morning, do you think alcohol the day before will affect the vax?
