I've got my performance review at work today. I used to get something like that. A list of things I have to do/experience/attend this year. My stock answer was "I won't be here next year, so don't waste my time".
Rinse and repeat in twelve months time.

Poked myself in the eye with my thumb nail while laying in bed refusing to get up. It wasn't an act of self harm - It was accidental. I've now got a blurry, weeping right eye. A strong look you'll agree. On train 1.

My son got in trouble at school, hes enjoying quite a dark imaginative streak at the moment. Hes 6 years old.
All monsters, blood, death, ghosts etc
Hes really into Venom, and we watched the Venom carnage movie over the holidays which he loved.
Hes very handy with pens and constantly drawing and produced his first comic/magazine which he proudly took into school.
Turns out the storyline was a bit too much for some of his young colleagues who became a bit upset over it, its about a little boy who's mum get taken over by an alien symbiote, then she eats peoples brains before the symbiote jumps to someone else and then she gets eaten and then the little boy is very sad and cries alot. The End.
Anyway, the teacher got a bit worried about this top quality content and the headteacher got involved and both his mum and I got called in about it and they had to do an 'official report'. We went along with it for an easy life but really was thinking all these other awful children are total snowflakes.
Back in the good old Brothers Grimm days kids stories were all about giants crunching your bones and witches boiling kids in big pots to eat them, whats the big deal?

My boy is five, and hasn’t watch any of the Marvel films. Because he’s five.
Saying that, his best friend at school has seen most of them. And he has the cold dead eyes of a pet torturer.
Morning all!
Partner had a bit of a covid scare yesterday due to her friend testing positive for it. The friend she’s sat next to on Saturday at the boy’s athletics.
So she isolated herself in the bedroom yesterday, despite a negative LFT. She’s tested herself again this morning, negative once more, so has now given herself the run of the house.
Boyblog: he had his first swimming lesson yesterday, and did really well! He was incredibly excited about it, both before and after. Conversely, I was really worried - a combination of going to a leisure centre (haven’t been in twenty years), the covid rules there, where to park etc.
TVblog: finished Toast of Tinseltown last night. Mad, utterly mad.
Rumblog: started a bottle of Mount Gay Black Barrel. My god, it’s good. 4*
