Hello all.
CRISIS ALERT. The boy has tested positive for covid. Partner and I both show negative at present, though the boy and I were blowing up the same balloon on Thursday…
So I’m back home, keeping clear. If I test as positive, what then for the works? Will they ever be completed?
Worksblog: speaking of which… the chaps pulled the old cooker and fridge to the end of the drive yesterday afternoon. I looked outside at 9am this morning, and the old cooker has gone. This is a good thing.
TVblog: Murderville, a few episodes of I Think You Should Leave, and half of an episode of a Bob Odenkirk/David Cross thing.

It just sounds a bit inauthentic, to be singing in an accent you don’t usually speak in. It’s like doing an impression. Sort of like Joe Longthorne. Gah. Rid of Me is a good album. Who is the most authentic singer? Cerys Matthews is probably worth a shout. |

I know what you mean lazy, but I guess angst-saturated punk/folk might lose something if performed in her native Dorset accent. I think I noticed it listening to ‘Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea’ after listening to ‘White Chalk’ And then I kept noticing it. Maybe Dorset would benefit from an association with angst-saturated punk/folk. |

New-oven-which-is-unsuited-to-our-needs is mounted to the kitchen cabinets, but not plugged in. New-cooker-delivered-yesterday is in the garage and still in its packaging. I have a microwave and a toaster. And a kettle. After yesterday’s pizza, I may leave it a few days before getting another. I’ve a fish and chip shop at the end of the road, so that may be tonight’s dinner. |

I also had my second Christmas and new year with PF and others.

My PC had a meltdown this morning, a hard drive malfunction, worrisome to say the least, (tentatively) ok at the moment.
