It's chilly in Chumbles' den; the tiny window vents are always open. I am not an anaerobic creature so they must remain open*, but shortly I must commence my day long battle with essential chores...
*And that air exchange stops condensation. Having once rented a bedsit with all my clothes perpetually getting damp and being dried off in front of the gas fire, whilst I made toast (sooo very short of money that every bit of radiant heat had to be exploited),I know that that is essential.
Games: NP2, Diplomacy (annoying to have screwed up a likely win by not checking my orders), AoW3
Audiobooks: Finished The Martian the last tenth was a disappointment. No spoilers, but it descended into the "With a single bound he was free" school of writing 4*; and started Master and Commander - a book that I must have read 20+ times; after I had got over the inevitable "I wouldn't have said it like that!" I'm really enjoying it.
Films: The Amazing Spiderman - much better - particularly the acting.

I just discovered a guy btl on the G football pages who writes 1500 word match reports instead of comments. He seems to have loads of fans telling him they are better than the atl report. It's like reading a Blood Bowl wall of text without any of the resulting cynicism, hostility or sarcasm. Perturbing.

Played a little Uncharted:TLL last night then watched a couple of episodes of AfterParty. Jean-Ralphio from parks & rec is in it, being Jean-Ralphio. But his episode was great.

Yesterday I tried one of the other NYT puzzles, the "Spelling Bee". As soon as you reach a certain number of points it tells you "You're good at this" and asks for a subscription. That's BS. Then today I had a look at the answers and there were some BS words among them. "Untuning"?? Really??
Piss off, NYT. Just because you are holding my Wordle hostage doesn't mean you get away with this kind of bovine manure.

Filmblog: 3:10 to Yuma (2007).
Dinnerblog: Co-op sweet’n’sour chicken with egg fried rice ready meal.
Half the chicken was dry, and the sauce needed some salt.
Houseblog: since my partner is still isolating, her sister came over yesterday and helped me with the mist coat for the living and dining room walls and ceiling.
She was over again to paint the ceiling in the living room. I’ve done the walls.
Now off to B&Q for more paint, rollers and trays. And some shelves and brackets too.
