Hey! What have you been up to today? We attempted to visit a garden centre near Newhaven. But gave up after being stuck in traffic for half an hour. Apparently the National Grid have been moving an “abnormal load*” from Shoreham Harbour to Uckfield, and this has closed chunks of the A27 throughout the day. We eventually turned around and went to a Brighton garden centre, which didn’t have what we’d set out to buy. Returning home, I pulled some miniatures out of The Dip aka brown Dettol. I neglected to wear gloves, and so am now waiting for one of my hands to resemble that chap in Robocop who gets immersed in toxic waste*. *just like my face/ Tuffers >this<. |

We went a drive to a park.
Halfway there we got a tyre pressure warning light and had to stop and pump the tyres. Light stayed on so we turned around and drove to a park nearer the house. It was absolutely mobbed.
I read the manual and we had to reset it on the car computer. Light went off. What a time to be alive. There was a bit of bickering over routes/sat Nav/phone directions.
Off to chippy for dinner shortly as now can't be arsed and don't have time to make minestrone.

Hi This afternoon/evening I have the house to myself. Mrs D. has gone to a surprise 60th birthday party for a friend. My younger daughter is enjoying a bottomless brunch as part of a girls hen do in that there London. I am about to venture out to buy a larger doner kebab prior to settling down to watch Boro v Chelski. Tuffers, thanks for the good wishes. Following CFC's recent actions I'm sure the team won't need any further motivation. I will then watch the Rugby. UTB. |

Well that was disappointing. My local kebab shop was closed. And looking through the window it might be permanent. I therefore had to walk twice as far to another kebab house. But I'm back and settling in for the big match.

I too am supporting Boro against Chelsea. That is nothing to do with oligarchs and everything to do with being brought up to despise those faux Londoners since time imchumblesmorial*. Similarly with Sheep's lot as my parents despised the Welsh. tbf I like the Welsh from South of Powya now. (Although not that antisocial mob from Gwynnedd.) *about 65y... Chicken if you're not veggie/vegan. Get the sauce and salad separate and you can add to your hearts content. God I want a kebab now. |
