I’ve just read a guardian article about a Victorian addict, who was saved from the terrible addiction destroying his life by qigong and now runs his own classes. Not only was he not addicted to being a Victorian, he wasn’t even doing the good stuff - if I was learning qigong from a recovered addict I’d want them to at least had a cocaine addiction, if not something a bit meatier like heroin or fentanyl. But it turns out this guy was a marijuana ‘addict’. Peak guardian?

I posted the Welsh should enjoy the moment as they will be hopeless in the upcoming World Cup and sure enough a Welsh laddie replied that the English were racist, violent, trashed Wembley etc...so I responded that the Welsh were the UK's largest claimants of social welfare. We were both FRANKED, myself fatally. |

Don't usually check the weekend chat but loving the crazy coincidence that we are talking about Scottish beers, and I'm scottish and had beers. What are the chances?

And NP chat, chumbles is the acknowledged champ, I reckon I'm the scratch he'd love to itch as undisputed 64player dominator of the chatterbox NP crew. Not happening, these quick games are lightweight. If it doesn't take 3 months I'm not interested.

It's not entirely their fault as the hierarchy have become afflicted with a virus that stops them selecting their best team. Leaving the world's two best bowlers worked well, eh, Straussie But Root, with his kit bag full of excuse and quivering lower lip, is part of the problem, not the solution. (Not lazybones' England, but the people masquerading as test cricketers out in the West Indies.) |

I started turning the TV, ps4, amplifier etc off at the mains at night rather than leaving on stand by. After much head scratching and checking cables etc on the Humax TV recorder because it wasn't recording my TV programmes I realised that the reason for the Humax tv recorder not working was directly related to me switching it off at night along with every thing else. Now that I've solved that problem I'm now not sure if I need to leave the TV on stand by as well as the Humax. I probably shouldn't be allowed to meddle with electrical equipment without adult supervision. Did you think the Humax worked by magic? You can safetly unplug the TV because the signal goes through the Humax first. |
