I’d like to stay here really. I’d get a job in Inverness. I’d pay my way. I'm always suspicious of English people who live in the wilds of Scotland. I wonder what they've done and why they had to move there. Of course I'd make an exception to that rule in your case. When it all kicks off - and it will - there won’t be a safer place than the Cairngorm plateau.

I stopped in Aviemore last week and had to pay over 6 notes for 2 takeaway coffees. The people in that town are completely out of control.

Evening all.
I took my son to a party at a soft play this afternoon. It was, in a word, pandemonium.
I got us out of there as soon as the session was over. “He’s had a great time! Yes, yes, erm, thanks! BYE”
And home for pizza.

Charged up the 2DS. Pilot wings resort is very relaxing. Super Mario World 2 on the other hand is not so. Good fun.
It may be my new commute thing.

EA is proof that Satan does exist. I know its not a particularly controversial opinion, but they can 100% get fucked. They're so well resourced, that when they get it right its annoying how good they are - that Ginger Jedi game was very very good, played it twice - and I'll defend Mass Effect with my Iridium knuckledusters and Palladium bollock hammer all day long. But I'm increasingly careful as I get older to get value for money for my gaming quid, so seeing my daughter spend 200% the cost of the original game to buy relatively minor gameplay addons for the sims 4 (more than once) absolutely slays me. We try to keep it honest Chez Muffrat, but I've never come closer to pirating an entire games catalogue than with that game, for that girl. Grrr.

You* wouldn't steal a loot box.

Lootboxes and similar game mechanics should be regulated as gambling*. This is pretty obvious. Every game like that should be 18 rated. It should state clearly an repeatedly at every point of purchase that what you are buying is a gambling product and it should not be possible to use in game 'currency' to buy the products.
No game marketed at children should be able to have expensive in game purchases. It seems fundamentally abusive to me to have £69.99 currency packs to buy in game virtual tat. I wouldn't ban DLC outright, but I would want it tightly regulated in any game that isn't at least 15 rated. I don't have a problem with proper expansion packs.
The whole thing at the moment and things like NFTs are scandals waiting to be exposed. I know companies were shocked at how much money could be made from in app purchases on phone games and have imported this in to 'real' games. At some point this sector is going to go bang. If companies don't sort themselves they will end up in serious trouble.
* ordinary gambling needs tighter regulation. The number of gambling adverts around football is shocking. It's obvious gambling companies are making fortunes from people losing on football

Bravo.
Well said, Sheep2.
Edit: I feel more strongly about the betting adverts, shirt sponsors etc but agree with the 'in game' points too. The disgusting 'get out' where Winstone (or whoever) after flooding the poor addicts mind all game says "bet responsibly" at the end is pure cuntery by the betting companies.

What about buying loot boxes with the in game currency you get from experience points? No real life money required?
Maybe I don’t know what a loot box is … I’m thinking of the boxes you get in PUBG, using the currency you earn from playing games …
Are they bad too?

Cdkeys do the Sims packs cheaper. It's still a rip off, but a half price ripoff.
Bit more BF:V there. The bombers are absolute murder. Death from above.

Pilot wings resort is one of the games that was bundled with this used 2ds that's just arrived. Fondly remember it on the SNES, looking forward to some zen aerobatics whilst on the bog

If companies don't sort themselves they will end up in serious trouble. Like how the government regulates those gambling companies whose profitable activities are implicated in an estimated 400ish* suicides in the UK each year? Cunts.** *Or between 250 and 650. **Gambling firms and the Government, not you, for once.

Advertising betting’s bad. Jeff Stelling and Jamie Carrager et al advertising it off the back of theIr TV shows should be stopped. And advertising it on football shirts.
Betting / buying loot boxes using in game currency you’ve won in a game’s ok though.

I'm watching Simon Rattle at the BBC on iPlayer.
The footage of HaeSun Paik's 1990 performance of Robert Schumann's Piano Concerto should be banned as pure filth. I've never seen or heard anything so sensual, and I still haven't, as I closed my eyes and ripped my own ears off.
It's not even like she's that attractive, whateves, I'm not judging her looks, but she shouldn't be allowed to play the piano like that. It's not right, and I'm pretty certain the piano didn't consent.

‘Betting responsibly’ doesn’t really add up to much. It just means being responsible for your bets. Which legally you are. Sounds like the betting companies are saying you should do the right thing but they’re just saying ‘Pay up, Bucko.’
Jeff Stelling should be put in jail. The kind of man who you’d find out had sold your nan a £2,000 vacuum cleaner set on a seven year payment plan.
