Stranger Things
Watched a couple of episodes yesterday. One was great. One was half great.
It feels a bit as if some parts have been directed by a different person. Full Goonies. But not always in a good way.

I started s3 of Stranger Things last night. It was better than I remembered it, but it's all far too brightly coloured. The shopping mall and ice cream place, and the swimming pool. It's all too full on.
Or maybe that was just my hangover

I know that the plotting will be crap and that the entire thing will be a James Cameron wish fulfilment vehicle; oh but the SFX, the beautiful visuals just switch off my critical faculties and, if it's like the first I will be gone... And for all its probable faults I will be overjoyed to have my jaded sense of wonder revived! Watch / listen in 4k... |

Been on the GAMES this weekend, done some of hot new release Outriders (mindless shooting - top banana), Monster Hunter (mindless whacking - top banana), and The Quarry (mindless walking and pressing X - top banana).
Also got into the hype and re downloaded Dragons Dogma for the 4, arisen. No doubt they will make a PS5 version once I have 99% completed it.

Hello
Have had to take one of our cats to the vets this morning. He is very unwell with hypothermia, low blood pressure and low red blood cell count. He is currently on fluids but will need a blood transfusion. Awaiting a call back from the vets, but it's not looking good.
My wife is not coping well.
