Is Birmingham ‘The North’? When I lived in Birmingham I thought it was the midlands. But recently I’ve begun to think that, maybe … it’s kind of culturally, in a sense ‘the north’…. Birmingham is in no-man's land; isolated by a network of roads, hapless motorists doomed to wander around the ring road forever missing their exit having to negotiate their way back on to it before they are eventually spat out on the Expressway once the Tidal Flow reverts to eject them onto the M6 traffic jam wondering what that was all about whilst anxiously checking their petrol gauge... Birmingham is a really easy cjty to drive round. Well it was until they dug up Digbeth. The drivers aren't as rude as in London. I always feel the sheer size of London raises stress levels. Also nothing Birmingham has compares to the disaster that is the South Circular. The worst ring road is Nottingham. Mostly because it is incomplete. The Nottingham road system is the absolute best. I do think they made a mistake making the A453 dual carriageway out to the M1. When it was single carriageway you could really study Ratcliffe On Soar power station while sitting in jams. Second place goes to Coventry for having contradictory signs.

Destry
Tough break with the cat. Sounds like it was in a bad way though. Probably better than the poor thing suffering for months.

Destry Tough break with the cat. Sounds like it was in a bad way though. Probably better than the poor thing suffering for months. It was sudden, from a contented, loving cat on Wednesday, to a bleeding leg wound on Thursday morning (a fight according to the vet) and an antibiotic injection, no issues (though a misdiagnosis of the damage I suspect). to a deterioration over two days. Lethargy; loss of appetite, and a noticeable decline. To an emergency vet appointment this morning. And the sad outcome.

Played a bit of warzone. Died almost immediately. Quicker than I would with fortnite or Apex. But tbf, I wasn't hiding in a bush. Not enough skulking.
Played some other mode of WZ; helping guard & move a truck Vs destroy said truck. Team thing. More fun as you respawn and I got a few kills.
In work tomorrow. Supposed to be a nice day so I'll be scowling at folk buying iced coffee in the morning, slowing things down in the coffee shop. Makes a change I suppose from scowling at folk buying coffee with syrups.

No judgement implied. After all, I spend easily 90% of my own life either hairy, shitting, recumbent, or a vivacious combination of the above. (Though I think I pull it off with an urbane brio that neither of the hairy, mewling, feline pricks who live with me could match)

I'm playing Resident Evil 5. You've probably never heard of it. I got it cheap last year. I think 4,5 & 6 were on offer for about £6 each. Just took me two attempts to get past the zombie horde at the end of level 1-1. Got shredded on attempt number one. Properly butchered in the cut scene. Oof.

Oh.
Would be much more fun in local co-op I imagine. *sob*
Anyway, I think I can do better.
*Goes back to start*

And this just released... I haven't finished it yet, as I have more chores to do, but so far everything Coleman says pretty much chimes with my own views, especially about the patchy nature of season 5.

Of all the games in existence, why the fuck would anyone choose to play Resident Evil 5?! "Resident Evil 5 is the best-selling Resident Evil game with 13 million copies sold." Found out this fact in a 7 hour video about the Resi Evil series.

Sorry to hear of your loss Mr. D, though it does seem odd that just a leg wound would cause this outcome. Sounds like it could have been a dog that attacked your friend.

I played RE4 recently, not long after RE8/Village on PS5. Not a great move. But still ok. So RE5 is next up from my 4,5,6 purchase last year.
RE2 remake is the pinnacle in my terrible opinion. RE3 remake was ok-ish.
RE Revelations 2 is one of my faves too.
I still haven't fully played RE7 after trying it in VR at a friends (ooh fwend) house and getting PTSD.
Awful opinions all round, Tuffers. Sterling work. 4*

I saw that having Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn is just wrong, though I do like her in other stuff.

We bad a cat when, I was a child, that got hit by a car. She survived it with a broken leg. Had a load of expensive treatment then died two weeks later.

I didn't think it was necessary or helpful to mention the other one. The second cat wasn't quite right. A nice enough cat, but not wired up correctly in the head. My parents had that cat euthanized and replaced it with Shenguin. I think the first part was definitely the right decision.

Awful opinions all round, Tuffers. Sterling work. 4* RE3make starts strongly. It gets worse though. The problem it has is the original did the same. I am a big fan of REMake on ps4. I thought it was a fantastic game. Obviously this is because it is a decently modern version of Resident Evil Extended edition. It would have been even better if it contained an option to drop the Gamecube bits and properly play the original game. RE2 is very good, but I adore Resident Evil. It might be my favourite game ever. I would like a PS5 version of CVX. RE5 is not a great game. It also has some slightly uncomfortable undertones.
