I am currently not buying books. I am trying to reduce the piles. It is difficult though. There are a lot of new books out in the Autumn and I need pretty much all of them.

Books
I've got an unwanted book to take back to the shop later on to swap for another one. I have zero ideas. Anyone got any recommendations?
Have you read The Pigeon, or Perfume, by Patrick Suskind? Great reads. Also The Kindly Ones, by Jonathan Littel. Another great read…

What about Revolutionary Road?
Now there’s a good read.

You might want to check with Crank, but I think that's a library, not a shop.

Thanks for the recommendations. I generally steer clear of the war hermitry shelves, which is getting harder to do as about half the publishing industry seems to be WW2 books nowadays. They don't seem to be allowed to be less than 750 pages either, especially those Beevor books.

Work chat: I now have to run to stay in one place. I dont have the metaphorical knees* for this.
Games chat: the later levels of Sniper Elite are better actually. I retract approximately 38% of my previous statement.
OTTM: not applicable
*that is to say I have actual knees too, but they are also fucked.

History is a complicated mess and needs a good thick book to explain it, who knew? I'd avoid anything by Stephen Ambrose. Other than Band of Brothers his books are poorly researched and bits of them are plagiarised.

They aren't history books.

Which will come first, GRR Martin or the new kovthe book? Online library or a real library are useful for limiting piles of books and it counts as exercise and is next to the off licence?

A desk on a jogging machine or travelator sounds awful.

Same reason criminal psychologists couldn't explain your case in 250 pages, there's a lot of background and context to explain before you get into the meat of what's really gone wrong.

I know a few people who are going to Glastonbury. I am envious. If I were there I would go and see:
Supergrass Skunk Anansie Bonobo Nightmares on Wax Four Tet Carl Cox Kurupt FM
But I'm not going. So I guess it's irrelevant

The feeling you get when you're moving ones Bud from the larder* to the Fridge, you normally pick up 4 but this time you pick up 5 and you drop one and it breaks and spreads glass and very mild tasting alcohol over the floor.
That's how I feel now.
Esp. since Pref.Mam. is at the gym and won't be back until 9, I feel like I'm in a sitcom.
So, burn the place down?
*or wherever the beer** is kept **yeah, yeah it's not a beer.

[EDIT] Appears he's now having a solo career, the twat.

I checked all the books and got Perfume because it was the shortest. I wouldn't have had room in the car boot for the Beevor.
