It’s my birthday on Monday, so off to a provincial mid Sussex pub for a celebratory dinner this evening. My brother and I take it in turns to organise our birthday bash, and this year is his time to shine.
I don’t hold out much hope for a great meal, if I’m honest.

Well that was an odd day. My friend Sam turned up at the door unannounced after lunch and asked if I wanted to go for a mooch into town. Why not? Drove us into Manchester, spent 6 hours in the gay village drinking £8 Pints with 7ft tall transvestites and drag Queens, because its 'sparkle' weekend. Colourful, celebratory, and fucking boiling hot. Lots of disco and annoying bouncy house music, free sunscreen thank goodness (at least I hope it was sunscreen). Stopped for a curry on the way home, waited 50 mins after ordering to be informed the establishment had 'run out of lamb'. Hissy fit in front of manager , drinks and poppadoms comped, and home for shower and the world's longest piss. Surprisingly don't feel too leathered, but definitely off out for a kebab. Once again, the diet can go fuck itself. I feel inclusive but ravenous. I'm every woman etc
