Patient pending? Sorry, Patent pending? I could happily bundle it in with my projected range of Fatmandu mobility aids.

The imgur haters are evenly balanced with the lovers on Lizzie. I do find it odd that I think it's Okay for me to gently mock the old girl, but I get rather angry when a bunch of yankee cunts do the same, but one pearl of ordure is As unlikely as her knighting his privates...

Why do orcs always have cockney accents? London= Mordor. That's basic.

Why do orcs always have cockney accents? Rumour has it Tolkien went to a west ham game, and got the inspiration for orks from the home crowd

I'm kind of ashamed to say I've not watched any of the Royal stuff on TV or online. Charles' speech or anything.
I've not even seen the news the last few days. I should really make an effort to catch up with it.
It's a once (maybe) in a lifetime thing. It's a bit like saying you didn't watch the Berlin wall come down or something.
Anyway. Currently making a vat of turkey Ragu.
We watched a big chunk of the Social Network last night. It's - quite rightly - not very kind to Zuckers. He does come across as an arrogant c-unit. They should make a follow up. What happened next sort of thing. Did the Winklevosses not become Crypto-bros?

I’m watching the third episode of the Rings of Power, for a second time. The first time I fell asleep ten minutes in. Actually now, ten minutes from the end, I’ve got up to go and get some tomatoes from the supermarket. It is not gripping.

I've just had to knock on Tootsie's door. Gather round.
Toots has been blasting out shit 50's and 60's music on and off for the last 3 days, so...
Tids goes (sigh) to confront it about this. Notices kitchen light on. Rings doorbell, kitchen light goes off. Knocks on door, no answer. Tids walks back, door opens.
Tids makes point diplomatically, but he cannot help noticing the following:-
1) It is smoking a cheroot. 2) It is not wearing makeup. 3) It has not shaved for some time and has sideburns and a beard. 4) Is a bloke (we all knew)
I wouldn't normally point out these things, each to their own etc, but I am fucking angry with the noise.

Like a cross between the 1850s and the 1930s. I have seen a very small amount of it because at times it has been on every channel. I did notice Prince Nonce seems to have been rehabilitated. I expect it is Rangers fans idea of heaven. For the rest of us, not so much. I don't think that BBC1 has shown a non royal programme since Thursday lunchtime. I switched on Sky Sports News to avoid it, but it was still on there. It's nothing like end of the cold war or the end of apartheid.

Mordor is based on Leeds, you ignorant berks. Tolkien did not like Leeds. Mordor is partly based on Leeds. The orks are based on cockneys What I said is that London is Mordor, not that Tolks based Mordor on London. Canary Wharf is Barad-Dur. The Shard is Minas Morgul. The east end (technically outside the city) is the Dead Marshes.

I'm having the same problem with the Lloyd of the Rings, it is difficult to pay attention to for more than 5 minutes. Also cramming more of the woke agenda into the second episode - not just Irish hobbits but now Scottish dwarves. Its political correctness gone mad.
Not watched any of the Queen nonsense, other than to occasionally look at people making fun of brands on Twitter trying to express quite how sad they are.
It seems the Queen's funeral is timed to coincide exactly with one my in person webinars. No respect for the living.

Why do orcs always have cockney accents? Because us men and women - mainly migrants from the country where enclosures removed their sources of food and the immigrants from the port of London were funnelled into the stews of the tenements cheek by jowl, in buildings on 4 levels with little natural light; a family to a room with a single 'toilet' over an open sewer for a hundred people, 50 yards from St Pauls, all the way to the Isle of Dogs and 'Ackney, 'Omerton and 'Olborn... We were the Morlocks, expected to touch our forelocks. So we developed a cant which mixed in all sorts of loan words including Yiddish, thieves' cant etc. This map was coloured to reflect the type of people that lived there - the indicated area was "Criminal' classes and was where half my great-grandparents lived and grandparents were born. In these cheek by jowl buildings thousands lived and died. So the comparison between orcs, cockneys is not that far-fetched

Yeah, from stuff I read in the G he seems to be getting a pass as his maw died. I'm not saying it's as important as those things but culturally in the UK it's a big deal and should at least have seen it.
