Cricket Bad light stops play with England needing 33 runs to win with 10 wickets in hand. Anybody got tickets for The Oval tomorrow? Should be an interesting 20 minutes play. I caught the end of that and both sides wanted to continue. The SArfers could have done with a day free before flying home on Tuesday and all the English players are in need of rest and preparation for Australia - the December tour of Pakistan won't be popular though. The cost of a ticket is £20 on a chilly September morning, so the cricketing public went home feeling robbed and most won't be able to justify the time off tomorrow leaving cricket the loser. The T20 squad (sadly without Jonny Bairstow) atm is Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Ben Stokes, Reece Topley, David Willey, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood. Travelling Reserves: Liam Dawson, Richard Gleeson, Tymal Mills. As for December's tour to rain devastated Pakistan lord knows - I would think that the majority of the potential venues are severely affected by the colossal rainfall and necessarily efforts will justifiably be concerned with rebuilding homes, economic and agricultural infrastructure rather than cricket pitches.

Just watched "Thor: Love and Thunder", my god what a mess, jumping from comedy to tragedy every 15 minutes, two films smashed into one.
I still enjoyed it once I switched the brain off. 4*

The Batman is pretty good, they toned down the gadgets and fantastic stunts. Also watched Frozen Planet 2, it was fine but Attenborough was really shoving the whole global warming thing down your throat.
The 6 fish are still alive.

One year of EV ownership! And here are some of my thoughts on a year with a VW ID.3: 1. Driving an EV is pure simplicity. No ignition, just get in and go. No gears. Instant torque. Positive steering. Driving 2.0. 2. This makes urban-driving a cinch. And the Golf-size of the ID.3 really helps - nipping between lanes, getting in parking spaces, zipping off lights. 3. Motorway driving also works well, though range starts to take a hit the faster you go past 60mph. 4. In-built tech. The adaptive cruise control means sticking to a speed, and the car braking for traffic. And the matrix LED headlights that peak around corners and don’t blind people - brilliant. 5. Public charging is… okay. I’ve only done it on a few occasions, and fully agree that all chargers need to support contactless payment. No more convoluted website sign-ups, please. 6. Home-charging on the other hand is a breeze. Set up the charger to only work during off-peak, and leave the house with a (cheap) full “tank” every day. 7. VW’s software still needs work. It’s adequate, but occasionally blips… which either leaves your slightly annoyed or very angry, depending on your need. 8. Build quality is great on the other hand. Quietest and smoothest car I’ve driven. 9. But… VW have cut some corners in some places in the name of profitably. Such as no moving the fuses for RHD cars, meaning a half-sized glove box. 10. Range is 250 miles WLTP. Take that with a pinch of salt… The hills of Sussex knock that down a fair bit. I’d say closer to 220-230 miles in the summer. 11. In winter, the range heads south even further. 190-200 miles I reckon. 12. The connectivity of the car is great. I never get into a car that’s too hot or too cold - I can set the aircon from my phone. 13. Free-charging… yes! Free “fuel”! Sometimes, public chargers go free-vend. And there’s also the option to charge at my workplace, which again is free (currently, anyway). Very handy if I know I’ve got a long-distance drive ahead of me.

tldr It’s not perfect, but it’s ruddy good. I wouldn’t go back to an ICE car by choice.

But does it have symmetrical halfshafts and a funny smell?

tldr It’s not perfect, but it’s ruddy good. I wouldn’t go back to an ICE car by choice. Bloke opposite me just got an Audi e-tron a week or so ago. He'd had it on order for a year nearly he said. I mocked him (behind his back) at his hippy milk float. Then I heard the noise it makes when 'driving'. Holy shit, like a sci fi film. Well Jell. First thing he, wisely, did, was install those security poles that pop out of the ground across his drive. He also has a giant plug socket attached to the front of his house. Nerd. Tldr: Greta hates the bloke opposite due to the amount of coal burning needed to fire up his sci-fi car.

So Tuffers is unable to joyride in his neighbour's car. Gutting.
