There's a lot of whooping coming from my next door neighbours, of the sort usually only heard during Scotland matches. Are your neighbours English? I gave this a hate like.

Hello. Funeral is on in the background. It's making me doze off tbh. Can't wait till all this stuff is over until the Coronation and we can get back to the terrible state of the country. I’ve been watching it. I also had a micro-nap… but I blame that on lunch. Perils of getting older. Might be in for a wait for the coronation. HMQs was sixteen months after she became Queen.

Are your neighbours English? I gave this a hate like. I was just wondering why your neighbours would be cheering during Scotland games is all. I didn't really mean to be nasty. It just happened that suddenly you were lying curled up on the floor and my foot hurt.

If my neighbours cheered during Blues games on TV I would be furious.

Football on TV is for watching in stony silence. And rising anger.

Gammos off the menu.
The soup went down so well, with plenty left, that I was democratically out voted, so we're having it tonight too. I'm instead going to make my own garlic bread with some ciabatta sliced lengthwise, with a minced (oooh mince) garlic and butter spread, then oven baked.
And the gammo is good in the fridge for a while yet.
It's what she would have wanted.

Last bit of rant... well, Bloomberg UK says it better in this article. (Written in 2017 under the Trump presidency, it applies even more forcefully in the UK, where there are no mechanisms for keeping vital strategic industries and assets in UK ownership. HRH Charles III will be monarch of much less than HRH Elizabeth II was at her coronation.)

If my neighbours cheered during Blues games on TV I would be furious. Are your neighbours English? My immediate neighbour is not really a football fan, but has admitted to sort of following Them. There was an Albion scout who lived in the block opposite for a while. We used to chat about football occasionally. He was a DVB though. I think he got a job elsewhere after one of the WBA relegations. There's a few footballers round here. All WBA and AVFC players though. I've seen the WBA squad in the chippie and various players around. Graham Taylor used go live locally. I saw him in Waitrose once. Most offputting. Worst of all he was actually ok. He'd chat to people quite happily.

Football on TV is for watching in stony silence. And rising angerm For a Gunners' fan in apprehension. And currently, with an inner certainty that any success is entirely illusory - it will melt like snow on the mountains when Spring comes.

Christ on a bike. Just put the telly back on and Lizzie Funes Day is still going on. King Charlie must be well knackered.

I have not watched any of the funeral. The kids wanted to watch Baby Shark videos instead.
I have started drinking.

He also pointed out Tony Daley to me once in the Asda / Sainsbury car park: An Aston Villa hotbed.

This funeral is quite piper-forward. Bag-piper forward.
I hope King Chad continues with Her Late Majesty’s enthusiasm for the pipes. A piper on every corner.

I saw Steve Staunton, Alan Wright and one other (possibly Mark Draper ) in the Halfway House (RIP in peace) once. They were disturbingly well behaved. Wright was about a foot shorter than the other two. I'm sure i've passed a load I don't recognise as well.
Tony Pulllis was a regular at the Italian and the local coffee shop. I always refuse to use the coffee shop because it is owned by a v**** fan.
