Chaos on the trains this morning. I had to get a bus part of the way. As a minor boon I did get to walk through two (2) empty first class sections on my final train before taking seat. A real high end travel experience fitting of Derry Takyl.
Got a webinar later today, so have had a few coffees to steady my nerves. Feeling mildly 'jazzed'

I've just bought something from the shop over the road, something that made me think of lazybones . Food, but not sausages. This has been the highlight of my day. It was a pack of Billy Bear pork slices. I must be madder than I thought. |

I woke up at 3am this morning. I had to turn off the ‘Drone Zone’ radio station but the remote control wasn’t working.
When I got back into bed I was awake and a work thought inveigled itself into my consciousness. I was awake until six turning this thought over in my head - trying to find a solution.
Bah.

I have an extremely old sony ericcson symbian mobile phone which has 3 hours of mp3 world service shipping forecasts on which I put on when I've got serious insomnia. It seems to work like magic at low volume through earphones - the fact that its a human voice playing seems to stop my mind from wandering and tripping itself up on its own own thoughts, but it's boring and repetitive enough that you can't consciously listen to it for long either. The rhythms of the forecasts are like being sung to sleep. It works better than any of the apps or Eno albums I sometimes use... |

My first ever pair of varifocals has just arrived in the post. Wearing them is curiously like being drunk, but without all of that tedious euphoria. Alongside the gout medicine I've just been started on, and PM recently encouraging me to buy my father-in-law's Volvo, I feel like middle age has really slapped me in the chops this week. Fighting the urge to get a 'Which?' subscription and some Farah slacks

The functionality capabilities of the tool are what matters. As for the control panel, most people who get one of these won't have a clue what it all means - it's mere techno-wankery. For most of the data, you're better off using software.  |
